Eros Gourmet Pizza & Deli — Restaurant in Southborough

I ordered a calzone from here on a Friday night around 6PM. About 1.5 hours after my order I decided to call the restaurant because I still had not received it (even though my order said estimated delivery was at 7pm). When I called, they said delivery was running behind by about 2 HOURS!!! Any other local place that I've been to never ran that late, even on Fridays. Now besides that, once I finally got it delivered about 1 hour after I called, the delivery driver got lost (which is OK - I directed him to the house), and I finally got my order. Everything up to now would be ok; I could look past late delivery, lost driver, whatever...but the food was horrible!!!! The calzone was supposed to be a large, and it looked pretty small. The ranch dipping sauce tasted very off and not at all like any other restaurant style ranch. To top it all off, the calzone I ordered was a chicken cordon bleu, and the chicken had some odd seasoning on it that also tasted odd. The ham was fatty and overall, it was just not worth waiting all that time for such a sub-par calzone. Be careful what you order here and know they will take forever for delivery on Fridays!!! Food is good, I took off 2 stars for delivery and notification. When placing an online order, you receive an order number, an estimated time of delivery and you can track you order.... its never accurate nor can you track the order. If you click the "track my order" option, it simply says "we're making your order", and if you call, when its past the delivery window, you are told "all orders just went out". This is now after the order was supposed to be delivered... I chose a time (an hour after I placed the order) - this should be fixed // As an update? it was supposed to deliver btween 1-1:10. Updated on 9/6/2024: With the ownership change, the place def. is worth visiting. They have replaced the rude woman at the counter with nice woman who is super friendly and actually cared about the customers and their food pref. Thank you for the change - it was much needed.
