The US Open King Mackerel Tournament is one of Southport's largest and most prestigious events. Every year since buying a home down there I've purchased T-shirts, polo's and sweatshirts to hand out as commemorative swag to family and friends, but not this year. This years assortment of apparel is not worthy of such an event much less what they are charging. It looks like it was purchased and produced by the lowest bidder they could find. The graphic on the cover of the promotional brochure is sharp and clear just like always. The images on the clothing wasn't even close. Read moreMy husband and I just recently spent a week at The Beach House Motel and Resort. We have been going to Oak Island since 1985 and have stayed many times throughout the years at this motel. They have remodeled the motel and pool and it is absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t think of another place I wanted to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Kimberly and the staff always go the extra mile to make our stay so enjoyable. It is quiet, very clean and has an ocean breeze all the time. Kimberly treats us like family and always provides what we need. When we arrived at the motel she had an extra surprise for us honoring our wedding anniversary. Her kindness means so much to us. I love our special place to stay and can’t wait to go back. Thank you Kimberly and staff for the hard work you do to make The Beach House my favorite place to stay. Isabella...
