Absolutely unacceptable. I won an auction from this store for a trampoline with a swing and punching bag, meant for my autistic, medically complex child as part of his sensory setup. We were so excited to finally get him something fun and therapeutic.
But when I opened the box (which had been stored safely in my car the entire time), the trampoline was covered in mold… not a little, but visibly and heavily contaminated in multiple places. I couldn’t believe it. My son has chronic lung disease and exposure to mold could easily land him with pneumonia. There was no way this was safe to use.
I had been hospitalized myself 2 days after picking it up, so I returned it just one day outside of their 7-day return window, hoping they’d show some understanding given the circumstances, and especially since this was a serious health hazard. Instead, I was told I couldn’t be refunded or even given store credit, but they’d “throw it away for me.” As if that helps.
So now I’m out $50, my son is devastated, and I’m shocked at the complete lack of empathy, customer care, or accountability. I understand some risk at a bin store… but selling moldy children’s equipment is dangerous and negligent.
Check everything before you leave, and honestly. If you care about safety, maybe just...

It’s sad that there’s so many rude “foreign” shoppers who have no manners when it comes to the basic rules they have in place here. I also have had a declining experience with the auction bids. It’s not as organized as it once was, they can’t even find the products you bid on and paid for and just tell you that you’ll get your money refunded in 5-10 business days. I won the represented item, why can’t it be found?! And why so long for my money to be returned, when it’s taken off right away? I also had to drive back there to return a totally damaged item I bid on (I usually check them before I leave, but was in a hurry,) and will have to wait for my money to be refunded for that now too. I guess it’s just not like they keep hyping it up to be, and are way too in over their heads in product, and can’t find where they put the items. :( Maybe it will get better once they move back into the store, but still unsure.
Love coming to Voltage Bins! Always something fun to be found and at great prices! Sam is always friendly at...
Read moreLove it here. Great place to get things you didn't know you wanted till you seen them. I would suggest going on one of the more expensive days and go early in the day. Things get bought up pretty quickly. Fellow shoppers can be messy and sometimes pushy. Im not sure why they feel the need to open every item they come across even when it's obvious its going to be the same thing as the 20+ things they just opened but they do. Theft seems to be an issue cause there is always a ton of smaller items that clearly belong in the empty boxes that inevitably end up littered throughout the tables. Staff are all great. I go there allot and have never had a bad experience when interacting with the staff. I would suggest they place some asset protection in with the customers to stop some of the shoppers that steal or open products and mix them in with everything. Just someone to enforce the rules. Other than that it is my favorite place to go and find things I would not be able to afford to buy if it wasn't for...
