I have 25 years if customer service experience. I know good customer service and I know bad customer service when I see it.
To be honest I dont shop at target because everything in there is way over priced. Had my kid not gotten a gift card to there for his birth day I would have never went in.
This was the entrance. Trash all over. That's how the store looked. I would have taken photos of it all but I dont have that much space on my phone. The bathrooms looked less sanitary then an over used porta potty. However I can only speak for the mens room.
In my trip to target I encountered 12 employees. The first one demanded donations to the salvation army, the next 7 ignored me, then I asked one guy if they sold Arizona 24oz tea. "If we got it. Then it will be up in food alley" no clue what that is, but if food is in an alley I want nothing to do with it. Upon locating the pizza hut, but nothing marked food alley. I asked an employee who seemed to have a stack of chairs on a cart, she almost ran at the sight of me, she directed me back to where I was. So I gave up looking for the Arizona tea.
I then focused on nutmeg. Upon locating the spices I saw the prices and holy ** stuff that costs $1.00 at walmart was $4.99 same size and brand. However no nutmeg. I go to find another associate to help me look for it. I came across 2 they were more concerned on not having enough blood born pathogens spill kits then saying hello. (How much blood gets spilled in the store that would require spill stations all over the place to have that many blood born pathogens spill clean up? SERIOUSLY) So I say excuse me can you help me fund nutmeg. The lady gave an answer that had an annoying tone with "it's down in with the spices" ( oh my bad just looking to spend money in your store that pays you and therefore your bills) ... it almost sounded like eew a customer wash it off. I asked "can one of you show me," the guy that was with the her said I will help you find it. (So I guess she does not deal with customers, or stock the shelves and can't be bothered to help a customer) First thing he grabs is a $7 bottle of nutmeg. I ask if they have the store brand 2.99 bottle of nutmeg he pulls out his TC unit and scans the shelf tag, nope. Then I ask if they have the McCormick short containers of nut meg. Yup they have it, it had other spices in front of it. I say thank you and nothing from him he was gone once it was in my hand. What ever.
So now that I have that, I go looking for something to make my kid happy (pumpkin pie being 1 hence the nutmeg) so I go looking at the 2 letters. That is expensive. These are $1 at walmart, what is the extra expense for? Because it sure the hell isn't for the abundant friendly employees ready to help.
Upon arriving at the register the cashiers did not move with any speed. Nore did they socialize with the customers they were checking out. I can not explain why they moved so slow. Slower then a slug through molasses.
The cashier that helped me said hello and then the total. But it took 5 minutes to scan 3 items... seriously I times it.
Seriously how is target still in Business with these prices and poor customer service. There was only 2 people that said hello the panhandlers and the cashier. Nothing about the employees I encountered is deserving of $15 an hour. If you want a raise try this simple trick...
MOVE LIKE YOU ARE BEING PAID AND TALK TO THE PEOPLE YOU WANT TO SPEND MONEY THERE START WITH HELLO! here is why:
Why should I come back? Because it sure as hell not because if the low prices, friendly customer service, clean store, or location.
If you dont get repeat customers the cooperation has no need to keep the store open, if the corporation does not keep the store open they you are out of a job.
THATS HOW CUSTOMER SERVICE WORKS!
Note: I have a JD power and associates award 3 years in a row for customer service. And I didn't get it because of my looks.
Save money and find a walmart at least the...
Read moreWHEN I CALLED TO ASK TODAY TO ASK ABOUT EXCHANGES, I had to call 7 times in less than 15 minutes because no one would answer any phone.
I'm physically disabled, after nearly 30 years of service as an agent of the Federal US government. I came to this store by Uber after I went 1st to McDonald's across the street and down the block. Then I went to Target to shop, not knowing at that time that while I was at McDonald's, some teenagers stole my wallet.
I had brought a small rolling suitcase, and I placed it in the electric scooter cart. When I was ready to pay (after a 20 minute wait in a long, long line), I couldn't find my wallet. The associate helped me search my bag.
One thing led to another, and the lady behind me insisted on paying for my things as a thank you for serving in a non-military government job for nearly 3 decades. Later, I got home, and I realized that the 2 Lego kits I got at Target, I already had them at home. This 3 days ago.
Today, I called this Target. The female manager was VERY rude & belittled me. 1st, she said I couldn't exchange Legos. Then she gave a lengthy speech that boiled down that meant I could exchange. Then, when I asked for clarification, she went back to saying I couldn't exchange them. Then she changed again & said I might be able to exchange unless the ones I have are "certain types." She would not explain more, refused to tell me what kits could or couldn't exchange, refused to answer any further specific questions, saying no matter what, I had to bring them in to see if they could be exchanged. Flat out refused to say yes or no when I asked if non-exchangable kits included Marvel, Star Wars, DC Comics, Harry Potter, Lego Friendz, Lego City, Lego Space, Speed Champions, Lego Dreamz, etc.
She would not say yes or no for any of those. She then said that since I obviously wasn't listening, she'd explain it again: "In a way a 1st grader can understand." So she gave another speech, then suddenly said I was wasting her time with "dumb ass" questions & hung up on me.
I will never shop at this Target again. It's just as far to this Target from my home as it is to Freddy's. Then there's a Super Walmart about a mile, at most, from that Fred Meyer. So, Target, you just lost a long-time loyal customer who regularly (about 4 - 7 times a month) spends $150 - $350+ each visit at your store. Now that money will be spent at your competitors. I just got done cutting up my Target charge card, which had a zero...
Read moreI love Target. I have shopped in person, had items delivered, and picked up items.
If you have ever been to one? You have been to all of them. Meaning? The stores are laid out the same, usually. They are clean and organized. This particular store had a few shelves that looked like they had been gone through by customers and not organized correctly afterward. No big deal. Otherwise? The store was clean and organized.
I happened to be looking for one item for 20 minutes and decided to ask for directions. I can't see that well, and I'm disabled. So, I ended up asking 3 or 4 different Target associates for help (all wearing name tags). They were polite and were either putting items away or talking to other Target personnel. Everyone I asked for help pointed with their finger (re: go down this aisle and make a left, make a right two times, and then go straight). Or something along those lines. Yikes! 👀
Perhaps they should have looked the item up and said check aisle A4 or aisle C2. Or? Taken me to the item or used a premade map and drew directions?
What they decided to do did not work. At least for me.
Every time I followed their directions (or at least I thought I did), I would end up getting lost and no where near the item I was searching for. I ended up asking other Target associates for directions.
And then when I finally got there? The only item they had (that I wanted) was a floor sample. I really needed the item because I can no longer get on the floor and scrub my floor on my hands and knees. It was a steam mop and I thought it would help
I would now wait for a shipment that was due to arrive the next day.
The very next day, it was so much more expensive. Not even 24 hours had passed. The price rose to $ 102 + (from $ 69 +) something. I'm on disability but I really needed the item.
I could not believe the price change.
My husband placed the order.
I did not know it was so much more expensive.
They should have given me an opportunity for a rainchack.
I have my item. I will open it today.
This was just...
