I used to consider this a 5-star experience w/ indoor dining, but a few recent incidents have changed my mind. First, a mobile order I placed was "forgotten" and finally ready 45 minutes later for in-person pickup after the original promised time. (Took 1 hour after submitting online order.) So this messed up the picnic plan my family had with friends.
Sure, MOD is good wood-fired, super-thin crust pizza if you like to create a fun combination of your own toppings. But if your kids just want a cheese pizza with a couple toppings, then it's not worth the nearly $10 for a small pizza.
Second not-so-great experience was a curbside pick-up, this time using the mobile app. There is NO signage by the front of the store about WHERE to find the curbside pickup spots. Nor was the info on the app for the location. So I parked by the front of the store. Had there been a sign, I would have known I was in the wrong spot.
So I called the store, the guy didn't even check to ask if I was parked in the numbered stall. So I waited and waited. Then a different employee called me and was like, "Um, you're not here." The 2 parking spots for "curbside" pick-up are behind the building, near the dumpster. Not even accessible from the same parking lot. Have to exit the retail area parking lot MOD is at the end of the plaza), drive about 20' along the street, and then into the small employee lot behind the restaurant -- near the dumpster.
So then I drive around and it STILL took another few minutes to get the pizza brought out. Ugh -- if there is EVER a next time, I will just walk-in to pick-up.
And to top it off, ALL pizzas ordered for pick-up are NOT that warm once you get them. It's like they don't have a warmer while they're waiting.
Unlike other pizza places that have a order-tracker so you know the progress and when it's ready, MOD's online order system lacks a customer-service finesse. If it was a better system, like Domino's, then I would have known for my delayed order that a) it was never in progress; and b) not ready for pick-up at the stated time that it would be (you get a time for pickup after placing order; which doesn't take into account how actually busy that particular store is at the time, so it promises a 15-minute time frame which is totally unrealistic -- but without telling you.
So...yeah, $40 for 4 luke-warm pizzas. In-person customer service is weak at the South Hill Spokane location. Wasn't like...
Read moreA must try delicious experience. From the time you enter the store you are greeted with a resounding hello from the staff, to when you get to pick out anything you want for your pizza toppings, the experience for me personally was extraordinary.
The first thing to do is pick out the size of your pizza and whether you want white sauce or red sauce. The pizza crust is consistently scrumplishly delicious.
Then, there are a plethora of toppings to choose from. Conceivably, there are endless combinations that you can design in order to experience a personal MOD Pizza.
You can change toppings every time you go. I have tried to be very inventive with my selections, and I'm always challenging myself to pick something unique each time.
From artichokes to spinach, blue cheese, roasted garlic and tomatoes and everything in between.
There is a wide selection for your pizza tasting experience. They have a menu that suggests pizza combinations to try. So, if you don't want to pick out your own toppings, the menu allows you to choose preconceived MOD versions.
You can order as many or as few toppings that you like. For the same price!
Anything you want in a pizza, you can get in a salad bowl.
They do have some desserts (chocolate lava cake / cookies) and things like bread for dipping. I have not tried them. No wings available.
Personally, I'd stick to the pizza, only because I love pizza. However, their salads are equally delicious and well proportioned.
Soda products on tap, freshly brewed iced tea, various bottled drinks, beer and wine.
There are half booths and tables, some taller tables if you'd like. You'll feel welcomed with a date, going by yourself, quick eat-in lunches or meetings with staff. You can order your pizza to go. Children are welcome!
The bathrooms have been clean and well stocked everytime I have been there.
I highly recommend that you try MOD Pizza the next time you crave a unique taste explosion. Remember to pick toppings that push the envelope for you.
A good inexpensive date for two - two pizzas with drinks for a...
Read moreLove this place, except the last time the girl who waited on us was VERY pushy and VERY impatient. I’d been here several times so I know how it works, but different times of the year they have different topping options. They didn’t have what I was hoping for so I was quickly trying to rethink what I wanted, ordered my children’s pizzas and was trying to quickly scan the items. AT THE LEAST she asked me 7 times “is that it? Anything else? Is that it anything else, is that it anything else” also proceeded to put the chopped garlic instead of the roasted whole cloves I asked for 2x. There was no one behind us so I was not holding up any line, I have worked in customer service my whole life, I get it, Managers please encourage your front line to slow down a touch. I see so many people get discouraged and not return to establishments, especially the elderly and families because the initial customer service experience they received was so unpleasant. My 13 year old even noticed my frustration which is why I did not give my POSITIVE criticism to the poorly trained...
