If I could give Spring Hill Home Depot location a NEGATIVE 10 I would.
February 2021 had MY RECEIPT for an unopened cordless drill I purchased 5 days earlier. Could not return sooner because of the ice & snow storm that impacted the Metro Nashville TN area.
For 60 minutes I was hassled by the clerk and Home Depot manager about giving me store credit so I could purchase a more powerful cordless drill.
The store manager blamed the hassle on their return system rejecting my return. I asked how can THEIR computer reject my return when I have a receipt from THEIR Spring Hill store 5 days earlier? His reply was I would have to call an 800 number during normal business hours to inquire.
I explained over the 60 minutes I was in the store I wasn't wanting a refund that I just wanted a store credit so I could purchase a more powerful cordless drill. The manager had their in-store tool department guy look for the cordleds drill I wanted and though they showed 4 units in their store inventory the tool guy could not locate any.
That is when the next hassle began. Now the manager had process my purchase as a return. Another 20+ minutes passed before I finally received a Home Depot store credit so I could go to another Home Depot to get the cordless drill.
Arrived at the next Metro Nashville Home Depot location and demanded to meet with that store manager before I purchased anything. I explained the problems I encountered at Spring Hill, TN store. That manager apologized for how I was treated and stated he/she has heard of this treatment before with the Spring Hill TN store.
The 2nd Home Depot manager was super nice, helpful, and friendly, even after arriving home I had to call that manager back to tell him/her the cordless drill kit was missing the battery charger. Had to return to that location for yet another exchange. That exchange took less than 5 minutes and was hassled free because I had my receipt.
Over the past few years I have spent thousands of dollars with Home Depot between my two houses in two different states.
I am hoping Home Depot Corporate management will see this post and take corrective action against the Spring Hill, TN...
Read more5/23/2016. After going to several places to decide on a gas grill to buy, I decided on the Nexgrill 4 burner grill at this Home Depot. I asked the sales clerk at the service desk if someone could get me one of the grills. ( I wanted one in the box brand new and the ones on the floor were scratched up from customers observance ) After waiting aproximately 45 minutes and about to decide to leave, a salesman came by. He informed me that they didn't have anymore in a box and they were all put together already. ( Which in my opinion makes them used already because I am very particular about assembling things myself ) I asked if he had another one in the back that didn't have any customer abuse or scratches. He said, "I will go see what we have. " After another 5-10 minutes he rolled another assembled one out to me. After checking it, I found that the igniter did not work on this one. Now my options are, No new one in a box, A scratched one on the floor, Or a better looking one that does not work! He then told me, " I will go see about another one." So, another 5-10 minutes go by while waiting. He then rolled out another one that looked okay and the igniter worked so I decided to buy it. After paying for it I had to partially disassemble it to get it in my Jeep. When I took the top half of the grill off, I noticed rust in the corners of the stand holding it. ( This making it used again! ) I shop at this Home Depot often and most of my visits have been pleasing. But this is an issue that needs to be addressed. If the product is taken out of the box, it becomes used. And although I am sure that most customers would be pleased with the assembly, I was not. I am very tedious in assembling things like this out of the box. Also, if some one does not have a truck to carry it home, why not get a discount for having to disassemble it to get it in your car. I debated in taking it back after I got home with it. But I can repair everything back to it's new condition. ( Costing me a few more dollars ) If this is the best customer assistance for grills at Home Depot, I will shop for my next...
Read moreYour associates are excellent!! I came with many questions related to the replacement filter for my shower head. Carly greeted me with a smile and we began our search. Quickly, when we reviewed the filter options, it was unclear what would be compatible among the filters available. Phil joined us, looked at my shower head (and the new filter I brought with me). I was looking to replace my home supply and this was my last filter. We realized the filter was not available at HD. My next question was how would I replace the filter in the shower head. Phil, walked me through the process and helped me change out the old for the new one I brought. Both he and Carly went above and beyond to help me, the customer, even thought I was unable to make a filter purchase as HD did not carry the brand. I have built 5 houses to date over several decades and always relied on HD for items needed in those builds. Why? Customer service is more than only helping with a sale, but in helping customers understand options and helping customers solve their problems. Consequently, today I needed a few household items (rugs, etc) and I choose to make those purchases at Home Depot. The missed sale of a shower filter but excellent customer service resulted in a much larger sale total because of customer service of Carly and Phil.....Customer loyalty, rare today, is built on the experiences of...
