I was frustrated and stressed in dealing with other stores in attempting to furnish a new condo when I walked into Star and met Holly. I was not in the best of moods and Holly immediately sensed my frustration after listening to me vent for a few minutes. She politely and confidently assured me not to worry she was there to help and ensure my expectations were met or exceeded. To my surprise, she substantiated her intent by having the store manager come on the showroom floor to introduce himself and tell me if Holly happened not to be available to contact him with any questions or follow up required. I never needed to do that as Holly gave me her name card with cell phone number and she made herself available by text or cell phone 24/7 including on her days off and once while she was on holiday in Canada. She was very proactive in making recommendations but also extremely receptive to my opinion if I disagreed and encouraged that feedback. She didnāt want to sell me anything I didnāt like. In addition, she solicited the assistance of the storeās interior designer as a third-party opinion. Holly is professional, knowledgeable, personable and most importantly listens and responsive. I couldnāt be more pleased with the entire buying process including the furniture purchased and delivery service. Holly truly made me feel like I was Starās most important customer even though I was only furnishing a small condo!! Thank you, Holly!
I highly recommended having Nina Ben-Gal/Interior Designer at Starās North Freeway location involved in your furniture design and selection process. Nina is a professional, courteous, knowledgeable, creative and communicates well. Her interaction with Holly and myself during this process was excellent. But I was most impressed with her enthusiasm and excitement for my relatively small project. I was furnishing a small condo which presented space limitation challenges. Nina took the time to make an onsite assessment with Holly of the condo to fully understand these challenges including my vision and needs. She was also at the condo for the delivery to coordinate and place the furniture and ensure I was satisfied with the final product. I considered multiple furniture stores throughout my search and finally landed on Star Furniture after a referral from my girlfriend, who had bought her furniture at a Star location in San Antonio, TX.
From the minute I walked into the store my girlfriend and I were greeted with respect and a helpful hand. This was especially nice, considering many other stores we had visited didn't want to give the time of day to a pair of early-twenty somethings. My salesman from the first time I visited the store till the day I walked out the proud owner of a new bedroom and dining room set was Billy Walker.
Billy was very accommodating with every question and inquiry throughout my search. When it comes to rather large purchases I can be very indecisive and meticulous, which led to me asking him countless questions and asking more of him than I would assume most clients do. He answered every inquiry I had politely with a smile on his face. He also made the experience an enjoyable one, as it should be. He joked along with us and took every little quip of sarcasm I through at him like a champ. I would absolutely recommend Billy Walker to anyone going into this store looking to buy some quality furniture, at a competitive price, who are also looking to have a blast doing so!
The only downside from my experience with Star Furniture is one of my own doing. I took advantage of their Labor Day sale; a busy time of the year when stuff is flying out the door, which means I will be waiting for the arrival of my furniture a little longer than I'd like.

Our father-in-law purchased a bedroom set and bed as a wedding gift back in August. The majority of the furniture like the night stand and bed were delivered a couple weeks after the purchase with the promise and commitment we would have the bed delivered on September 21, 2020. This was important to us to have our bedroom furniture in place for the wedding videos. Instead, the bed frame was never delivered on the day it was promised.
In fact, the bed has still not been received by Star Furniture in order to deliver it. At the time of delivery, we asked if it was best to receive all the furniture at once so as to avoid any issues with returns. After my frustration reached an all-time high and not having a bed that we should have, I called and spoke to the GM of this location. She continued to profusely apologize for their lack of ability to follow through on their commitment to deliver the furniture. She further explained that COVID-19 has caused delays and what not. Which I completely understand. I let her know that I would like to return the furniture since they could not complete their order in a timely manner. She further explained that no returns are allowed. This completely contradicts the explanation I was given by the delivery people and my previous experiences with this company.
This furniture organization is falling by the wayside rather quickly and it is evident that they are in distress with a lack of ability to fulfill orders. This will be the last time our families purchase furniture - say goodbye to 36 years of loyalty. Truly a disappointment and shame - and the best aspect of my complaint - it has been almost 2 months since we purchased our furniture and I still do not have the bed frame to put my bed in.
And I guarantee they will never reply to...
