My fridge has a permanent issue that continued to receive a temporary fix. I sent an email to the office with a detailed explanation regarding the fridge of which it was not read as they did not respond even though I asked for a response; they simply sent out their maintenance team again to do the same thing. (As of 11/11, I've had to contact the office/maintenance to fix the fridge 4 times. If you have to do the same thing to a fridge 4 times in 5 weeks, there is a problem with the fridge). I was also told that I would not be reimbursed if my food spoils as a result of a broken fridge. That makes sense. On 11/11, I had $100 or more worth of food sitting at room temperature for 24 hours because of this place and I can't even claim it through renter's insurance because it's less than my deductible.
This management team always has an excuse ready for anything. Was told that the manager had called me regarding the fridge issue and yet I was home all day next to my phone and received no call. Hours later, I called in and spoke to another person in the office and asked her to read back the number to me that I provided to her and it was my exact phone number.
Finally, when you did come and look at the fridge on 11/14 as a manager with your maintenance person, you continue to tell me that the reason this is happening is because the freezer is set to "cold" instead of "recommended". Yet, your maintenance person is the one who continues to leave it set to cold when he leaves. Even this most recent time that you both came together, again you left it on the cold setting. I've changed it to recommended the past three times shortly after your maintenance person left. It is labeled to tell you where the recommended setting is (where the star/asterisk icon is).
There are truly basic things they aren't doing or are doing wrong. A little basic communication would go a long way whether it be telling "why" something can or cannot be done.
Haven't heard gunshots in awhile, but they do occur every now and then.
I may have to contact corporate depending how this goes. I suggest the few normal people living in this community (if there are any) to contact corporate, also, if you are unhappy as this place is becoming a ghetto.
UPDATE: This "company" finally replaced the fridge in December. Sure enough, the same maintenance guy left the freezer on the forbidden "cold" setting upon replacing the fridge. Luckily, I caught it and changed the setting to "recommended" and have not had an issue with it since.
HOWEVER, to anyone reading this, do not for a second believe any single pretend-to-care reply from this sad excuse of a management team you see in these reviews. These are the worst people on Earth! I work from home so I could hear as these maintenance people were bringing the fridge up the stairs stating something like, "he probably ain't home. Out spending momma's change". Because these people are literally morons who think I'm a trust fund baby because my mother called and complained to them. I did not ask her to do this. Through your pathetic negligence as a company, I had complained to her after you repeatedly did not do your job and she took it upon herself. I had nothing to do with this.
Now, here we are again and I've had no hot water for 2 days and the lies continue. "Oh, we sent an email out about that". No, you didn't and you know you didn't. They closed the work order I had created at the end of the day and marked it as complete yet I checked and the water was still not hot. I called the "emergency" line the following morning and received no response all day. I submitted another work order and they were kind enough to call me immediately to tell me that I had created the same work order. Oh boy, how nice of you! I wonder why I had to create a new work order??? Lastly, and most sadly of all, out of apparent retaliation this team of bandits just slipped a letter in my door stating I had unlawful ownership of a cat. I've had an issue with black mold growing on my ceiling. I've called about this NUMEROUS times and they have never came out to fix it. Another thing!!! They never pick up their phones in the office. I have gone there several times IN PERSON and they still fail at even being inside the office. I remember trying to go to the main office at least 6 times in one day (once every hour starting from 9am to 3pm and they never are inside.
I'm actually on the phone with them now and they still wont answer their phones. I'm getting my lease removed from this disgusting trash joint. I did not have a quality time of comfort while i was here.
Side note...Dogs and cats run loose out here so keep your animals on you at all times if you can. Oh and be careful about leaving plants outside. I bought a beautiful lavender plant to put in the ground by my front door and someone stole it not even a few hours after having it. There is no cameras around the complex except for the entry gate and the exit gate. The exit gate is always broken and its just an annoying thing to deal with.
I've heard to my belief gunshots every other night in this area. So if you have a family with children or just yourself trying to find a place to live...look somewhere else. This is NOT a good part of town. Homeless people roam around this complex because of the broken exit gate and countless drug deals happen on this property 24/7 NOT A SAFE PLACE TO BE

When I signed a new lease recently, where the rent increased by $50 a month, I asked why such a large increase? NO market demand justifies THIS much an increase, it's simply GREED. This is NOT the River Oaks area! I was told that it increased by that much because all residents were getting washers & dryers. Went into the leasing office today to ask when they were going to install it, and it turns out the new ownership decided to renege on that deal. It wasn't fair that they left the leasing office personnel holding the bag to answer for ownership greed, saying they were recently informed by "upper management" / ownership that now it would be an extra $50 a month for a washer-dryer if we wanted one, so I said HELL NO! I could tell they were very uncomfortable telling this to everyone. I feel CHEATED by new ownership that turned out to be LIARS! They probably looked at how much it would cost to do that for all the units, and decided they didn't want to spend that much money, or they intentionally did this to get our hopes up, and then backstab us afterwards! I despise liars! If they would have just said up front that they just wanted to make washer dryer hookup connections, I would have been okay with that, but they took the low road instead! SHAME ON YOU, you GREEDY new ownership!!!!! Yet they still did not mind increasing my rent by $50/month! My rent had never increased by that much a month when I had renewed my lease in recent years.
