Purchased a couch and we added the cleaning protectant plan that cost extra. They explained that fabric would be treated and soil or spills would not penetrate that fabric. Of course spending that much money we agreed with four boys. The couch was custom made and we waited 2-3 months to receive it 2 years ago. It was finally delivered to our home and to our understanding the fabric was treated with the protectant. We were never provided any product, told we needed to pick any up nor told we were the ones that needed to treat the fabric. Over the last two years couch has many stains and I called and emailed about a pillow my husband took the cover off of and it washed. No cleaning instructions were provided with couch or 2 throw pillows that came with it. After washing the fabric was very wrinkled and looked very different then the other pillow. I contact store and they said to email a photo and they'd look at it and replace. Heard nothing back so called and emailed photo again. Whomever I spoke with the second time confirmed they got it. I never heard anything back and this was months ago. Then after being fed up about the stains and not being able to get couch clean I contacted them again a few weeks ago and was told that I had to come in and pick up a cleaner to use on the couch. And told that the pillow would not be replaced because it was our fault for washing it. Today I stopped in for the cleaner I should have known about when making the purchase and was told for the first time since we purchased the couch that we were supposed to but at protectant on it and clean it with a special cleaner we were supposed to be provided. WHAT!!!! And now I get to deal with filing a claim, no responsibility on their part or attempt to correct the issue that happened. Was very disappointed with the wait on couch to begin with being much longer then told, and now our couch fabric may be ruined and may not get cleaned without ME having to jump through hoops with Allaway the cleaning...
Read moreWas really excited to get my first couch for my new apartment here, found one immediately and paid for it in cash and scheduled a delivery. Day before my scheduled delivery, I get a phone call from them saying they accidentally sold my couch to another person. I don't know how hard it is to put a label on a couch that says, "SOLD", but apparently it's not important to them to do so. So I get that first phone call, and then a second phone call from another employee trying to ask if someone told me that my couch got sold to someone else, and I'm like, "yes, someone already informed me." However, I get another phone call about two hours later, this time from the delivery man who was supposed to deliver my couch and he's trying to tell me when he's going to arrive, and I'm like, "what are you talking about, they sold my couch to someone else, did they not tell you?" So basically no one is doing their job there, and it was extremely disappointing to have to deal with that experience. When I went to go and ask for my refund, I expected to get a cash refund since I paid in cash, but I had to wait a week for a refund check to come in. Not only that, no one seemed to feel genuinely apologetic about what happened. It seemed like everyone hated being there and it showed. I know selling furniture isn't the most exciting job, but the least you can do is show some kind of effort. I work in retail myself and even if some mistakes aren't my own, I will apologize and do my best to make things right. I decided to write this review cause I had high hopes of getting my first couch from a place that had highly "great reviews" on here. Good luck to whomever else decides to shop here, but I'm definitely shopping local next...
Read moreI went to the Dining and Bedroom section of the store and I have to say, Patrick was the most helpful furniture salesman I've ever had - To call him a 'salesman' would almost be a disservice to how friendly and accommodating he was. I never felt he was pushy or nagging; It genuinely seemed like he was just a good dude and I was a friend first and a customer second. After I made a silly sizing mistake with the first set of dining furniture I bought, I called, freaking out, and stressed because I didn't know what options I had and I thought I had just made a huge, costly mistake, but Patrick just had me come in and pick a replacement set and got me refunded the difference like it was no problem. To take an embarrassing mistake and correct it with such ease made me feel worlds better, especially considering the difficulty I would have had at other furniture stores. Fantastic service, great products, if you wanted to get treated like a person, go here.
EDIT: Not taking any stars off of my review, but I was told several different times that my order would arriver at the store "this weekend" or "the next weekend" and so on several different times, so after waiting almost a month and having radio silence I decided to call them and check on the status of the order and it turns out that it's all arrived and been ready to roll for an unknown amount of time, it just took me calling for this to be realized. So be aware, you may have to take the initiative to follow up on the process...
