CVS — Local services in Springfield

CVS is a nightmare. My husband is constantly getting calls from patients having trouble filling their prescriptions here for really basic things because the techs don't read the full instructions. I can see why he hates CVS in general because I had the same issues at another location with my seizure medication. And, if you can only pick up a small amount of an expensive one or if your dr prescribes a change, forget it, they only fill what's "recommended by insurance," which often contradicts what the patient actually needs. Talk about nuts. Then time wasted with verifications and I'm not even referring to controlled medications. I'd hate to see what drama a controlled medication might cause. As far as a store itself it's ok but EVERYTHING is locked up behind plastic. So forget about comparison shopping for anything with a price tag over $5 as a clerk is required for almost everything you need to buy. There's always an armed guard there which is good but makes me question the safety of the location in general. Coupons work about 60% of the time. The store staff is nice enough tho and it's open 24 hours to shop, albeit with the assistance of clerks to unlock your selections from behind plastic. They never have good selections of holiday sets tho probably due to the theft rate here, I have to travel to FL to shop decent deals that...

The employees I am very unfriendly with the clients they are left with the cards of the medical plans ,to pass for several people to be able to recover the card. Doctors send the pharmacies the recipes and when one goes for the medicines there is to wait according to the employee they did not serve it because the plan does not cover them leaving without medication . the plan does not cover it but our pocket pay them. The recipes are not only a luxury but is necessary because one is sick, there are never staff who can attend to people who speak Spanish, send messages to elderly people who when they go for their medication do not have any having to return another day to pick them up, It is not fair and it seems to me a discrimination. I really really hate this cvs okay, every month when i try to refill a prescription they don’t even answer the phone, i was sitting on the phone waiting for 15 minutes already like seriously i even did it through the app last month and i go in to pick it up and it wasn’t even ready. This is the most unprofessional and unreliable cvs i have ever been too. I am definitely gonna go somewhere else that is worth going too.
