Bamboo House Restaurant — Restaurant in Springfield

so let me start off by saying this place really isn't quite what I thought it was going to be!!! first of all let me explain that first time I came here was years ago for an order out of sone pho and let me tell u rude customer service so I though well let me try them once again because years have passed and this time it was for dinning in. I was so craving vietnamese food so I decided to try them out once again!!! first off we weren't really greeted with happy smiles at the front desk maybe because they though I wasn't there to spend money because I don't look like a person with money anyways once seated I waited about 10min for my menu like ?? second I ordered I receive my food the Vietnamese fried rice gave a disgusting odor like wet dog or something it was disgusting second the bbq pork with white rice was so disgusting as well the pork it self did not taste fresh at all and to be honest its did not taste like a pork chop it was so hard and bland and the rice didn't taste fresh and I don't even think it was asian white rice as it did not give me any aroma such a shame my 70 dollars down the drain for these people if they want to keep there culture in good name I suggest they do better oh and im Cambodian and puertorican by the way sp I keno what good asian food taste like and this was not it next time I would go ti vin chua on Dickinson were its so fresh...

What happened to you, Bamboo? Your wings were known for their deliciousness; a batter that was kept a secret recipe that even the cooks don't know. Authentic Vietnamese cuisine to rival even the best Saigon has to offer. At least, that's what it used to be....

We ordered pork and rice + their chicken wings, and were shocked--SHOCKED--at how terrible it was. Mind you, this was a dinner where we were introducing new people to Vietnamese food, and it was terrible.

The wings were literally flavorless and overcooked, you had an equal chance of cracking a tooth as you did on actually biting into the meat. The pork and rice was LITERALLY pork jerky. It had been cooked so long I'm not sure it could even be called edible. I kid you not it was so dehydrated you could not CUT IT with a knife.

It was such a change from the quality we normally get from them we called them to let them know. Not to get a refund or anything, just to let them know. At this point I was still certain it must have just been a mistake. How surprised we were when the staff there claimed that was 'normal' and that it's 'the same cook as always'. Good job folks, you lost some customers.

Keep in mind, Bamboo House isn't the only Vietnamese restaurant at the X. It will be the last time we check you...

Love this place .. several of my co-workers through the state of MAss brought me one day here .. and didn’t know a young man who I went to school and played soccer in high school own this place .. the food is great .. love their salmon in the crock pot .. there shrimp soup with the chicken broth .. love their spring rolls .. they have one of the best spring rolls .. and their coffee reminds me of the Hispanic coffee strong with the carnation milk .. right on point ..even the lime juice which is fresh lemonade .. the chicken wings are good .. and they also have other great places … great food everyone that I have brought there have gotten hook to their food … the...
