Cafe Christo — Restaurant in Springfield

Excellent restaurant with delicious food and friendly customer service. I placed an order online this morning from their website and there was an issue with the order. They didn't receive my order through the website and on top of that their website didn't charge me for the sides I was getting. I arrived to pick up my order where I learned that they didn't receive it. There was a friendly gentleman sitting at the counter and he got up right away to tend me as soon as I walked in the door. I explained that I ordered online and I showed him my receipt and also the charge in my bank account. He was very apologetic that the business didn't receive the order and he whipped it up for me right away. I was impressed by his speediness. I paid the difference for what the website hadn't charged me and headed home. I'm eating the food now and it is so good. I will definitely be returning. I will have to return and eat in person because the restaurant was very warm and inviting....

I've eaten at this restaurant a couple of times while visiting back at my hometown Springfield Mass. It's around the corner from my mother's house and I usually stop in to grab breakfast and the first couple of times I've been there it's been a decent reception and good customer service but today I stopped in and clearly as they made eye contact with me the waitress and the waiter that was at the register both ignored me as I sat down at the counter but waiting for service to at least ask me if I wanted something to drink they made eye contact with me looked at me it kept on about their day I then asked to speak to the owner who's usually in the kitchen cooking who I've talked to several times and he neglected to come out of the kitchen to talk to me. I then left. That will be the last time that he gets my business and anyone that I know of who asked about it I'm going to tell them not to go there especially...

Atmosphere is like eating with friends at your house. The menu is classic American, breakfast all day, sandwiches, and hearty meals with a Great Twist. Traditional Breakfast but w/ choice of feta cheese, gyro meat, etc., All by choice. I like the well rounded menu and at first glance the prices are typical but the portions are very hearty. I'm a 'clean your plate' diner, and I can't finish an omelette, the 2 french toast are super thick cut, my wife left 3/4 of her 2nd piece. All in all located just at the edge of the X in Springfield's Forest Park Area, on Belmont, there is good parking, easily seats a large crowd, with a u shaped counter in front of the kitchen. (Which allows for conversation, but there's no adverse effect from proximity of cooking area. Staff / owners are very nice, and there's a very convenient bathroom. A+...
