This will be a long, but well deserved five star review. My journey with Helzberg started online as I designed a ring that I thought would be my dream engagement ring. I definitely advise being sure you try things on in person after this experience prior to ordering online and understand the way things are sized online is not necessarily how they will look in real life. Unfortunately, the custom ring I designed was not what I thought it would be at all, and being a custom ring, it is unfundable or unchangeable . A lot of this was my doing, however Helzberg in Springfield came to the rescue. First off, I called the store in a panic and Alex answered the phone and quickly eased my anxiety and spent 20 minutes on the phone discussing possible options with me and how I could resolve the issue. I came in person and met Michael. Michael is a highly experienced Jeweler and has been in the business for over 40 years and it shows. He spent considerable time with me picking out possible setting scenarios with my current diamond ring, and even ordered custom diamonds for me so I could look at different carat weights in person. They stayed in touch with me Throughout the process and made me feel very comfortable every time I was in the store. Mary Beth made me feel as though we had been friends for years and came up with a workable solution to my custom design, as well as repurposed my current custom diamond. We decided we would return my ring into a 15th birthday surprise for my daughter with her birthstone so that the ring setting did not go to waste. My daughter loves jewelry and she will be over the moon to receive this incredible ring as a gift. I redesigned my ring in store with all of the staff helping me. I shopped at the White Oaks store in Spfld. IL. My husband and I celebrated our 40th anniversary in 2022. I purchased a cross and gold chain for him, which was beautiful. The staff at that time was absolutely wonderful and very patient with me, as it took me forever to find just the rights one for him. They suggested I should purchase the I protection plan at that time, I was hesitant as I was on a budget, but I did. Needless to say 6 months later my husband had a mishap with his necklace. The cross was ruined and so was the chain. We are celebrating our 41st anniversary this year and he has told me several times how he missed his cross. It was silver on one side, gold on the other. Everyday he would put it on and surprise himself with what side he would wear. I went back to Helzberg to see if they still sold the cross, and they did, yea!! I was explaining my delima to the nice gal that was waiting on me, and she asked if I had purchased the protection plan. I said yes I had. She said hold on a minute and went to tell her manger about my situation. Because I purchased the protection plan, they replaced the necklace for me!! I had to repurchase the cross, because there wasn't anything they could do to fix it. They saved the day!! Oh my goodness had she not asked me about purchasing the protection plan I would have had to buy a new gold chain as well. Her and her manager, Mary Beth were so nice and personable. I know they're slogan is, I am loved, well let me just say that's how I felt!😊 I highly recommend this store!! Last year when I shopped there, the were awesome, and this time they were even more amazing!! Thank you girls for all your help, you are angels!! Went there to shop for an engagement ring. The guy that was helping us asked what we were looking for and started showing us rings. We gave him our price range and he didn't show us a single ring that wasnt at least 3x the price range. He then suggested i applied for a helzburg card to see if i woukd qualify for a credit line through them. I told him i didnt want a credit line but he insisted that it would just give a price that i would be eligible for if we wanted. So i did. He continued showing us rings and then abruptly said what's the hold up dont you like them? We said we were going to look at other stores and may be back. Very rude and was clearly pushing a sales goal of some sort. Also 3 days later i received a Helzberg diamonds CREDIT CARD in the mail....
