Verizon — Local services in Springfield

Similar experience as the previous customer in the comment below. I purchased my phone online and went in to the Verizon store for setup to ensure that I wouldn’t have any issues porting my previous number. (I’m going from Verizon prepaid to postpaid). The employee sitting in the store was dismissive of my questions and told me I should be able to do the process at home. Well, I haven’t been able to port the number from my prepaid phone. Called the service line and they have been unable to figure it out after being on the phone for almost 3 hours, basically saying all of this would have been avoided if the guy simply did his job in the store instead of sitting at the desk trying to avoid work. I’ll go back into the store tomorrow and explain the situation and if I’m not satisfied I’ll take my business to AT&T. Don't buy the internet unless you want a hassle and a $200 charge when you cancel. They make you drop it at a UPS location and then charge you $200 for a non-returned device after refusing to accept the return in store (where the employees are apparently authorized to order it for you and charge you but aren't authorized to accept in-store returns of the device). I was even assured the charge would drop once they "received" the device. That never happened. It's a scam. Not only that, when I purchased a phone and watch last year, they told me they would help me set it up, then mailed it to my house and I had to do it all myself, which is never as easy as it's made out to me. If I wasn't already a Verizon customer, I sure wouldn't join them now. ...
