We stopped in just to check it out today, because I really like supporting great causes with my purchases. We were met with a very friendly employee that talked to us about the store wares and created a very lighthearted atmosphere. There is such a good variety of items, from toys to jewelry to kitchenware to clothing. I had originally had the conception that fair trade items were much more expensive than regular items you'd find at stores, but I found that the items are reasonably priced and were well within our budget. This is good to note, considering that the proceeds go towards helping people who are normally exploited by companies! I didn't expect to buy anything, but once I looked around, there was so much variety and there was something for every price range. My partner and I found some great gifts for our family members. Checkout was also a great experience. He also wrapped up the other item in tissue paper and offered a small paper gift bag to put it in, for an extra $.25. This is a great shop that supports a...
Read moreI was a long time supporter of Mosaic when it was downtown ever since Liisa took over so you can imagine how sad I was when they moved to Pleasant Hill. I had the chance to stop by there this morning on my way to the pumpkin patch and I gotta say, the new space really is great. It’s not too far from I-5 so it’s actually a quicker trip there from my house than it is for me to get to some of the businesses that I support around town in Eugene.
The space itself has been tastefully updated and it gives off a lot of the same vibes while still offering a new experience. There is a nice sofa in the middle that makes you really want to hang out and shop. It’s cozy without being crowded and the new fitting room is spacious and welcoming. While I’m gonna miss having Mosaic as a place to stop by when I’m doing my banking or shopping downtown I will continue making the trip out to Pleasant Hill when I need by a unique gift for someone or see an old friendly face and check...
Read moreI love Mosaic! It's fun and cozy and, despite everything being handmade, the items are actually extremely affordable. They also have practical stuff like organic soaps and shampoos that smell lovely, and some gorgeous kitchenware. It's def the place to go find a gift. In fact I got my boyfriend a beautiful set of dice made from Shesham wood and he loves it! I'm also eyeing some garlands and lamps for when I start decorating my apartment soon. Great store!...
