the worst customer service you could possibly imagine, I’m a regular customer who had an issue entirely outside of my control and was treated so rudely - I will never go back. do not shop here! over priced, some of the vendors are shady people (I have personally witnessed a male vendor verbally intimidating an elderly woman) and the management clearly doesn‘t value the business.
Updating Review In Response
It’s not the policy I had a problem with, it was the way I was treated, and spoken to. For the record I buy brand new paint at this store, not antique/ used items.
I have consistently bought the same paint from this store for an entire year - and have never had any issues. The jar of paint I purchased leading to this review, and been knocked over at some point a long time ago and had filled the lid of the container and dried making it impossible to open. I have never had to ask the staff or management for any help, and called to ask if I could simply exchange the defective jar for a new once, since I had just been in the day before, had the receipt, and had not yet opened the paint.
I was spoken to very rudely on the phone, told they had a no exchange policy and that it was my problem, not theirs.
No resolution was offered, to someone who again consistently comes in to buy a brand new product. Regardless of policy, this is not a good business practice for a...
Read moreNicely set up but I found almost nothing that was reasonably priced. There were a couple items that were inexpensive / they didn't know what they had but the majority of things were 10 to 50 x what they were actually worth. Definitely no deals. With that said there was a few booths that were priced all right and if they had something I was looking for I probably would have purchased it there. The record and music instruments Booth was one of the only ones. I saw a VHS tapes that were extremely common $2+. The only one I saw that was worth $2 I had a price tag on it for much more. I found some unusual ones, hard to find, across the street at 10 for a buck!
Im a collector and someone who does resale myself, I found items that were totally worthless going for $80. As a collector, I don't mind paying a fair price for a worthwhile item, but it seems like these people would rather sit on something for 25 years waiting for a sucker to walk in then to charge what the item is actually worth. You got to do your research otherwise you're going to sit on junk that isn't worth paying the rent for. Like some T-shirts that were from Walmart that cost $10 new with a price tag of $38. I don't understand how people could be in the business of selling junk and not take the time to find out...
Read moreGuy was an absolute jerk to me on the phone, hung up on me then didn't answer when I called back. Absolutely rude and disrespectful.
Edit in response to owner's "reply"
Sir, you were condescending to me when I had mentioned to you I wasn't familiar with the app you were speaking about, and you RUDELY said "do you know what Google is?" so I find it humorous you replied making it seem like you were super helpful. You hung up on me. And to reply to you, no. I didn't use the ridiculous "identifier app" you requested. In fact, I actually called one of your competitors, Antique Peddlers at 650 Main St in Springfield and the lady on the phone was not only unbelievably helpful, she offered to have me bring the crystal glassware in store to help me PERSONALLY look for identifying marks and see what era it was from and it's value. So I went in and not only did she painstakingly search for the pattern design, she found it and offered me a generous amount in cash for the entire set I had, which ended up being valuable. And THAT is why customer service matters. I also ended up talking more with her as she is super nice and she's got interest in a lot of the antiques I have from my grandparents and their elders as well so I'll be going back soon. Just thought you...
