I recently went in to have breakfast and was absolutely shocked with the service.

We were sat at a table with crumpled paper menus that had food and drink stains all over them. It took over 10 minutes to be greeted by a waitress in our section. We placed our order and waited 45-60 minutes for our food to arrive.

During this time, I had noticed other impatient and upset customers in the same situation in a not so busy restaurant. The people next to us got their food and had a biscuit missing. They waited 10 minutes for a waitress to come over and deliver them bacon. When they let her know that wasn’t theirs, two waitresses bickered with each other across the restaurant arguing where it went before they were corrected by the table saying they needed a biscuit and proceeded to wait even longer - the bacon was returned to sit under the lamp. I saw one of the cooks grab eggs from one plate and move it to another WITH HIS HANDS. After watching our food sit under the heat lamp for 10+ minutes and watching the 5-6 employees aimlessly wander past it. After over an hour since being seated, not only was French toast cold - the syrup had a nasty film on it, my hash browns were undercooked AND I received the bacon that had been sitting under the heat lamp for at least 15 minutes. I stacked my food all up and did not eat it.

If you’re paying that much for breakfast and waiting that long it better be a damn good breakfast.

What an absolute shame & embarrassment for...

It's NOT the Busy Bee we all once knew and loved. Same name, different owners and VERY different service!

We went to Busy beads on Saturday one week after their grand reopening. All I can say is that it's not the busy bee we knew. I watched three sets of guests come in, not be greeted or spoken to by staff and then after about 15 to 20 minutes each, they all left.

The staff seemed completely unaware. The portion sizes are smaller, the menu was very similar to what it used to be. However, for the last 13 years we have gone to busy be and order the same thing and my husband and I split it. The server seemed annoyed that we were only ordering one meal and did not split the plates despite having asked to do so.

She delivered the wrong toast after having been asked three times for the toast. Finally, when it arrived, it was the wrong kind of toast. By that time we were almost done with breakfast.

More than anything though, was the complete lack of customer service. She did not come back to see if we needed anything else, I had to go up to the counter and ask for my refill. This experience was shared was almost everyone that I could see or hear with an eyeshot or ear shot. No one seemed particularly happy with the bad service. She seems nice enough, but she is not a good server. My guess is she's a new owner.

When I left my husband and I both looked at each other and said we don't think we'll...

I hadn’t been here in years and I went in with great memories of the food and service. Some things were the same- classic small town diner decor and friendliness. Big portions. My husband said his food was good- bacon cooked nicely and his pancakes (which were huge) had a nice flavor, but were pretty tough. My meal, however, was a different story. I ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of eggs. My biscuit was VERY overcooked. The crust was so browned that it wasn’t edible. The gravy was delicious. My scrambled eggs were very undercooked and runny. (My personal taste is fully cooked- no running or glistening.) My biggest disappointment was that the waitress never checked if the food was ok, or checked in with me about why I didn’t touch the eggs that I had made an extra effort to order. We are leaving to go through a drive through and grab me a sandwhich, since I left most of my food behind. We are trying to decide if we should give this place another shot or just move on.

Truck Stop sized portions, the sweetest owner & staff in the world, food like Gramma would make, friendly folks, happy patrons, globe sized biscuits, desserts to die for, tasty food that sticks to your ribs, nice menu with lots of choices, ok now, what else could you ask for? Oh I know, $6.00 Cheeseburger baskets with handcut curly fries on Thursdays is what we all got!!! OMG & my Son got a Cinnamon Roll the size of his outstretched hand. C'mon now, get in there & get your grub on!!

The Busy Bee Cafe is my father’s, and his friends go to for Breakfast before every Ducks game. My Fiancé, and I really enjoy the Bee. The merch is fun, the waitress was on top of it, the food was just what you could expect from a traditional American restaurant, and I wouldn’t change a thing. It can be busy in the morning especially during a game or some other event that may be happening locally. It’s worth the wait, and I highly recommend the Busy Bee Cafe.
