This used to be a great place when Macy's, JC Penney, Elder Beerman among other higher end stores were there. It's really a shame letting this huge building go to waste. It's going to promote crime and bring out undesirables if left to be a flea market or game room. There is NO reason all the major department stores had to open on Bechtle Avenue. This really hurt German Township. I believe this created a double whammy because I hate the traffic on Bechtle Avenue (that road wasnt developed for all the cars now traveling on it) and I for one will not go over there (besides Petsmart). I buy everything online now just to avoid the hustle and bustle over on Bechtle. It's a shame, it really is. Many people I know are doing the same and overall this hurts Clark County. Lowes, Home Depot, Meijer and Walmart will always thrive just to the nature of their business but still, it is a huge hassle driving down that strip of Bechtle. It's actually easier to even order your hardware (or groceries) on Amazon and it all arrives within 2 days if you have Prime. We need some major department stores (and a cinema) moving back into the Upper Valley Mall. I remember across the street from the mall we used to have a Kroger and a Hills Dept Store which of course had to leave. I pray Rural King, Ollie's and Bargain Hunt never move because IF I have to go out, those places will most likely carry what I need. I miss the old German Township. Plus, I get to bring my dog with me to Rural King...

Read moreI am not from here orginally, I am from Florida but my husband is and we recently moved here. He remembers going there as a kid so it has a nostalgic feeling to him. I am actually going there today for my daughters 8th birthday party at Claire's and get lunch afterwards, a party and lunch at the same place. I think it could use a boost, the location is good, it could have more updated stores basically the vacant spots and options on places to eat. There is space on their side and that could be beneficial, brainstorming time!! I like having a place you can go and find what you need or want. That strip mall has potential, I really hope they get it going. It feels quaint and a place where you can take your family and not feel like you are in the middle of chaos.😀 Feeling hopeful...
