If you like browsing in bookstores, you will love this charming bookstore in Little Switzerland, NC This is the last place one would expect to find a whole bookstore. Unassuming, small and humble from the outside, you'll be quite surprised what you find inside. Books old and new, even antiquated. Nonfiction and fiction, books for kids, for grownups, for gardeners and nature lovers, for travellers and adventurers. There is a book for everyone and every taste. Maybe you are wondering how all these books fit in this small bookstore. Well, it only seems that way. Behind each corner there is another room full with books, like in the book "House of Many Ways" by Diana Wayne Jones. You will also find wondrous objects old and new- steampunk boxes and various antique explorer gadgets - from telescope and compass to sextant and magnifier glass. Many cozy rooms lined floor to ceiling with paperback and hardcover books.
Coffee selection was also excellent with a full espresso bar and an ample selection of baked goods. Prices were less than I would have expected. Seating inside was meager but cozy and adequate for short stints.
I expect to make another visit in the near future with the purpose of doing some actual book shopping. What...
