I went to Natashia Mooney(Who is known for Goddess Locks) for a basic sew in with a part on the side. I wanted a natural flat straight look but received the exact opposite of what I requested. I sent Natashia photos of what I wanted so when I showed up for my appointment, I thought I would get what I was paying $225 for. I feared having an oversized unnatural hump on top of my head and she knew that very well. As she sews to the top of my head she is constantly doubling up the tracks. I asked her to do single tracks three times but she insured me that the top of my head would not have that camel hump. She finally finished and then starts curling my hair without my consent and turns me around to the mirror to see myself after 3 hours for the first time. I looked like Peg Bundy from( Married With Children) with a massive hump at the top of my head. I just wanted to cry. I asked her to fix the hump that she already knew that I did not want, she told me that she had to take everything down because without my consent she put a huge net on my head which I also did not want, so I left almost in tears. Natashia DID NOT listen to what her client wanted, she was in her own head and had her own personal ideal style she decided for me. Nice person but if your getting Goddess Locks then she your girl.....Sew Ins...not a good ideal. I got a second opinion from a sew in specialist from Rags to Riches Salon and that stylist fixed in 20 minutes what Natashia said couldn't be fixed and now I have the look I wanted 100%. I love it!! Plus she only charged me $20 bucks for the corrections and the beautiful flat iron job that she did. I went from Peg Bundy to Pocahontas!!. She charge $125 for sew ins and is truly a master at it. Natasha blessed my head over the weekend, doing some amazing goddess locs. When you walk in everyone greets you and it feels familiar. Natasha is professional, quick with her hands, her work is beautiful and neat, and she offers great conversation or silence depending on the vibe of the client. This is the second time being a client of hers, I've sent tons of people her way, and will continue to support her. There's virtually no pain from getting my hair styled, in fact, I couldn't feel her braiding my hair at first. Natasha completed my style in under 3 hours and I never felt rushed or like she was not giving me her best.
