Cherokee Barber Studio — Local services in St. Louis

The barbershop is nice, clean, and has a good vibe. My barber of 30 years recently moved to Florida. I have a couple of rental houses in the area. I drove down Cherokee Street looking for another barbershop when I spotted their walk ins welcome sign. I turned around and went inside. There were four barbers there, one of whom was not doing anything. I asked if he was free. He was waiting for an appointment. The owner asked the barbers who had the next opening. I had to wait about a half hour. That is not bad for a walk-in. Interestingly enough, another barber had 20 minutes before his next cut. While I understand an appointment being honored, in 20 minutes, I could have been cut and out. I felt uncomfortable waiting for a cut, and they were waiting for their appointment. I have short hair and an easy cut. I did see one guy who was getting a "beauty" cut. I am older, 58, and may see things differently. I was satisfied with my haircut. What A Breath of relief!! It’s scarce to be able to find Great Barbers who don’t treat the client like a number and who are really dedicated to their clients and to their craft; I found it!! I Travel a lot for my company and have seen my share of Barbershops and experienced my share of bad cuts let alone bad experiences. I’m from where you pay for what you get or you Pay for what’s Due. Just happened to be on Cherokee and saw the shop told my husband to check it out for him and my son. They both got their hair done today, my sons hair was done by Khararr and it looks great! He is 5 and doesn’t sit perfect and still looks great, he does well with kids. Richard did my husband hair and he looks like a new man. Definitely recommend this barber shop to anyone looking to try something new. Didn’t catch the guy in the middle chairs name but he had a few cuts while we were waiting and his cuts look great too.
