Update 2/5/21: Although there are sometimes issues with this vet running behind schedule, I really cannot say enough great things about how communicative and caring they are for your pets. My dog had surgery to have two tumors removed and Dr. White has been quick to respond to my multiple concerns I've had about his sutures, allowing me to send in photos and review them over a phone call more than once. The quality of care here is phenomenal and certainly makes the wait times worth it if you can manage. They have not once made me feel like I'm being a burden or overly concerned, and I sincerely appreciate it. On top of all of that, my dog is reactive to strangers, and everyone here is always so cautious, understanding, and kind to help out how they can to keep his vet trips safe and manageable.

Original: I'm extremely frustrated. Today I took an hour and a half off of work to wait in a parking lot for 45 minutes after checking in. I called before leaving to make sure they didn't lose my check in and was told that they had not by a polite woman who was very apologetic. Unfortunately she wasn't able to give me an idea of how soon my dog would be seen and I had to get back to work, so I had to cancel my appointment. Now I have a dog that's still itchy and have to decide whether or not I find a new vet when I had previously really been happy with this one. Juding by some other reviews, it looks like I'm not the first person that has had a long wait. I want to take my dog here, but I am seeing that may not be realistic working a 9-5. I found this kitten that was abandoned in the Belleville cornfields (IL), it needed immediate attention as it was very dehydrated, ear mites, parasites and fleas. I am grateful the clinic was able to schedule an appointment right away, not like other places which told me a month, are you kidding me? She was never gonna make it. Jefferson AH were the only ones who understood my concerns and sense of urgency. At least the day I went the basic consultation is $60 and then add the medical expenses, out the door was $150ish or so. Contrary to other reviews, Arianna (I think that was her name), provided an itemized list, treatment w pricing BEFORE providing any care. The doctor I think is from India, very nice cool guy, very patient with me, he took the time to explain and answer all my questions.

Front desk staff is lacking soft skills, but one has to be aware the place is always super busy, walk-ins, phone ringing, billing, last minute requests, so I do understand why they are black and white in customer service, get-in, get-out, next... All I wanted was to have them provide the medical care the kitten so dearly needed. What can I say? Ivy is stable, responding well to the medications. FYI, no military discount, it's a privilege, not a right, so am cool w that, just so you know. I do recommend the clinic, all my three cats have been seen by them; Chloe, Nala and now...

I took both my cats to Jefferson Animal Hospital this week for check ups and UTI/dental concerns. The clinic got me appointment options for as soon as next day and pricing was upfront and fair. ($45 for regular visit / $65 for emergency visits). They let me know how much urinary testing was before I took them in, and quoted me an extremely fair price for a cleaning.

They asked a lot of questions about the medical history of my cats than anyone else and even asked for past records. I have never had a vet do that before!

All their associates were great to work with and clearly cared for the cats. I had concerns about one of my cat's teeth, and after the examination, they were honest and let me know he does not have too many teeth and that any dental work would be pretty arbitrary. They offered to do the dental work anyway, but also gave me the option to monitor him and schedule dental work if it became necessary later. (We went with the second option.)

Overall, these guys are fair and honest. I will be back for all my vet needs!
