I cant believe the place I’m staying in was next door to my home Way from home. I say “oldest” skatepark because I was there when #RampRiders moved from the west side down to the southside. And I’m like 300 years old. That was before google maps existed! People were going to the wrong location for years. Love to see this skatepark is still open, looking good as it ever did, snd people still going of all ages and skill level. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 #StLouis #SkatePark #RampRidersSTL

DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY TYPE OF SKATEBOARDING!!!!!!!!! horrible experience, board broke minutes after buying it at the desk with NO REFUNDS admitting that it was A FAULTY BOARD. never offered to help and didn't seem to care at all. do not come here if you are a skater. please don't. The ramps were so sketchy, the transitions were sketchy, there were beams in the way of ramps, and they had parts of the park open AND "fixing" the park at the same time. they never had anyone near there or working but they had buckets for concrete and tools just laying there in the way. I paid full price for all of it and only got to skate about 20 minutes MAX and if you're a skater you KNOW that that is nothing. any time spent here as a skater will be wasting your time and money. DO NOT COME HERE!!!(all pictures were taken at the hotel but one, that one was at the shop.) edit: the owner was a good sport about it and was very friendly though he did push back on the call saying that there was no way it was broken. it was all a misunderstanding and I got the trucks wheels and screws from the broken board and a completely new one of the same parameters for free along with some stickers and a free return if I decide to comeback someday which probably won't happen for a while since I live multiple states away. I do think it needs much improvement and the staff should've fixed the problem right then and there but if you go there with your own board that you trust and a good attitude you'll do just fine.

Don't come here expecting a brand new clean facility with soft rock playing in the background. This place is grimy, loud, alternative fun. The decor is rough graffiti old mattresses for safety. This is a place of community. It don't matter if you skate, bike, scooter, come as you are. If you are new people tend to help you out, show you the ropes. If you are good you will get respect. The ramps vary in height. So there is something for every level. My child had his 8th birthday party here. 20+ kids No one went home with more than a scratch. They do have bathrooms and z vending machine with monster energy drinks. The staff is not overly helpful but will help if you ask. (They are young) it's a small business that serves the community in the best way they can. The biggest problem here is the stairs 2 flight to enter. You have to carry your stuff up. Bikes are hard to get up there.

Went during the beginner's time on Sunday morning. Lots of kids on scooters and bikes. I was a little confused at why there were do many bigger kids on the ramps when the time was reserved for those 10 and under. The atmosphere seemed intimidating at times depending on the clic you were near. Staff was never observed in the ramp area, so not sure if they had a clue of anything going on.

Definitely a cool place as far as the ramps and such go. The ramp area was dirty (could use a good power washing) although a staff cleaning schedule was posted. Not sure I would buy any prepared food from them, but they had some snack staff and bottled drinks available for purchase.

Worth the visit if you have daredevil kids or are a big kid yourself. Just keep an...
