Just left the store. Quenton the cashier is the only person in the store and he is very vocal about it. I waited at the end of the register because he proceeded to eat not 1 but 3 individually wrapped Reese peanutbutter cups. Then asked with all the attitude you could imagine āare you waiting for something?!ā
I said āyes for you to complete your snackā
he replies ābut are you waiting for something?!ā with the same nasty attitude.
I replied āIām highly allergic to peanuts, so yes Iām waiting until you complete your snackā.
This disrespectful pathetic excuse for a human being told me āoh well I just had 3 of them so you gone have to wait! Step out of line and let me take her!ā to which I complied. (Broken english and all)
When I get to the register he is on FaceTime (or whatever Android uses) upset because he has no one to call in and help him with the store. Now he has every right to be frustrated with the scheduling situation, but that has nothing to do with me (or any other customer). He is rude, intentionally disrespectful, and lacks basic customer service. He reflects āobviouslyā how Save-A-Lot feels about itās customers and customer service in general.
I called and asked for the corporate phone number to actually voice my concerns about his lack of help there in the store. I was willing to put everything else aside because he is on a tough situation, but once again this ignorant person said āget it offline (online) where you got this one; Iām not stepping out of my line to get it for you, Iām the only one here!!ā and hung up on me. I did go online first but the line...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI live down the street from this location so I rely on getting necessities from here. However, I can't take it anymore and will never be going back. I've had too many negative experiences here. The associates are unprofessional. It's like no one wants to do their job. The last time I went, ALL of the lanes had the "closed" sign, so I look around trying to see which lane I'm supposed to check out at. There was no associate at any of the registers. As I'm looking confused, I was getting stared at by a couple people who I did not realize until afterwards that they actually worked there, because they weren't wearing uniforms. After being confused and not helped for several minutes I was finally able to locate a team member and asked which lane was open and they said 2. I went to the 2nd lane, still no associate there to greet me, but I went ahead and unloaded my items assuming someone was on their way. I ended up waiting several more minutes with no help. Meanwhile, the associates with no uniform are all around me chatting to each other, a manager is counting a drawer, and another associate who I guess had just clocked out is just staring me, knowing I need help. They ALL saw me waiting and heard me questioning about the lane but completely ignored my presence because they didn't want to do their job. Finally someone helped me after 5 minutes of waiting. I should have just reloaded my groceries into my bag and left without paying. They probably wouldn't have even cared. But they will never get my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI moved to the neighborhood 7 years ago and have watched this store deteriorate slowly. You would think after remodeling the store it would be better, however the opposite has happened. I only shop at SAVE-A-LOT these days if itās my last choice. Unfortunately, I drive across town to Aldiās and Schnucks because the quality of the food is subpar at SAVE-A-LOT. Just this week I stopped to pick up somethings because I was too tired to drive elsewhere. I decided to pick up some cheese while I was shopping only to notice that the cheese was molded. I took it out and placed it on top so people could see it but I didnāt mention it to management because they donāt seem to care. This isnāt the first time I have found outdated and spoiled food in the store. 2 years ago I bought cranberry juice, only to open it after arriving home and discover mold at the bottom of the container. There seems to be an issue, either with selling outdated food, or how it is stored that is causing mold and fungus to grow on it. Disgusting! I complained to management; wrote letters to the home office, they gave me a gift card and an apology but it appears nothing has changed. It was a far better store when a gentleman by the name of Houston was managing the store. This is my honest review of a store that has so much potential but is sorely lacking in...
