Pawn City — Local services in Statesboro

My fiance and I went there today, to look for rings. We had an idea of what we wanted, but didn't want to pay $5 to $10k on what we were looking for. We had stopped in a few weeks prior looking for lawn appliances, (which is near impossible to find during the summer months around here!) and stumbled across a beautiful old vintage diamond/antique ring. We had spoken previously about possibly purchasing resale, and resetting it to try and save a good chunk of change. We ended up leaving that day, and did not purchase the ring.

A few weeks went by, and still hadn't found anything that I wanted without having to spend a lot of money, so we went back to see if the ring was still there available- and low and behold it was! I thought that would have been snatched up for sure... but I got lucky and it wasn't sold.

Today a gentleman named Austin ended up helping us out while we were thinking about making our purchase - and he was absolutely wonderful! Seriously, he was super patient, kind, and friendly with us.

Obviously a diamond is a big purchase for most people so we asked a million questions as expected. But his candor and patience played a huge role on why I decided to write this review. Not only his great customer service and attitude, but he was able to help me out with the price plus a wedding band that I loved, and was able to throw in the ring cleaner as well. Not only did he do all that and made this such a positive experience for such an important occasion, but without even knowing if I was going to purchase the ring, I asked if he would clean it up a little and he obliged with no qualms. He actually did it twice for me! For such an important purchase in someone's life, he made it so much more pleasant and easy.

We are both super happy with the purchase, and what a difference it is to work with someone that's attitude is great.

If anyone needs help over at Pawn City, ask for Austin, he will surely get you settled and taken care of- and he should be recognized for excellent customer service! Definitely a keeper! I'm a general manager in the hospitality industry, and he's got what it takes!
