Do not go to the Women’s Health Clinic here. If you must, make Cara Anderson your last choice for a provider. She will make up her own senseless narrative about what is wrong with you and refuse to see otherwise, no matter how many details you give her that contradict what she has made up. When you tell her what you are actively experiencing, she will treat you not like a woman, but like a dishonest child that does not understand their bodily changes and refuse to listen and comprehend what you are telling her. She acts as if she has no need for listening because she knows your own body better than you do and as if you are making everything up. She does not wish to help and acts as if you are an inconvenience if you are not easily turned away after a lack of treatment or guidance.
Instead of her, I would highly recommend seeing the medical director, Dr. Angela Gerguis. She saw me for free to make up for my terrible experience of being medically gaslit for twenty minutes by Cara. She listened to the exact same story I told Cara and acknowledged that my assumptions as to what was wrong with my body were correct. She provided the exact treatment I came in seeking and I was cured quickly. She and the nurse I saw beforehand had to apologize profusely for Cara’s behavior. Cara even had the audacity to tell them something else that she made up was the issue when she referred me over to them. I was in tears when explaining to the nurse that she was incorrect and ignored all the symptoms and backstory I explained that directly pointed to what everyone else could see was wrong. I will never see anyone who only works in the Women’s Health Clinic again,...
Read morei went here on tuesday january 23 with a sore throat, chills, headache and mild body aches. i took three tests strep, flu and covid and tested negative for all of them. I then told the nurse practitioner that this has happened before and they just gave me steroids and i felt good within 24 hours. She had responded with,” it isn't bad enough for me to prescribe you anything so just gargle salt water and take ibuprofen”. i thought for sure that wouldnt help but i listened to her and did that for the first day and a half. My symptoms got progressively worse ended up have to go to urgent care and got two shots and prescribed a steroid and antibiotic in which the nurse practitioner at urgent care told me i had acute tonsillitis. so now im going to have to pay for a missed diagnosis at the health center as well as urgent care. i am usually not one to complain but i am very frustrated because if i was diagnosed correctly and given the medication i needed i wouldve felt...
Read moreDo not ever go to this clinic. They are absolutely incompetent. If i could give them 0 stars, I would. I went in there with extremely swollen tonsils, chills, and extreme body fatigue. They ran a couple of useless test sent me home and told me to take some Tylenol. A day later i went to the ER because my symptoms worsened and I was diagnosed with TONSILLITIS , which would have been clear to see if they just would have properly examined me in the first place. It really upsets me to write this review because as and African American student at this PWI I have been to the GSU clinic before and had a great experience with their African-American doctors. This time was a little different... I wonder why. Anyways, please...
