I can't believe what just happened to me at the Wallgreen's pharmacy counter on Coalter. I had a Covid shot on 5/29, but it never showed up on the VA health department (HD) record. I asked at the pharmacy if they could help me. After some time, the clerk came back with a rprinted sheet showing I did receive the shot on that day. I said that was helpful but I also wanted it on my official state HD record. I explained we had travel plans including a cruise, and it would be helpful to have all my covid vaccines in one official record. The pharmacist got involved at this point. She said they couldn't do anything about it and I wouldn't need it anyway because they don't ask for covid shot records anymore and they are going to 4 month shots anyway. She said their printed sheet would work. I explained that my wife got her vaccine at the same pharmacy on the same day as me and her HD record showed she received it. And I explained that it was more convenient to have everything in one place on the official form. She again said she couldn't help. I asked me to write her name for me because from my vantsge point I couldn't see her name tag. She wrote something I couldn't read. I said "I can't read this would you mind printing out your name for me." Though I didn't tell her this She, I figured I might need this info. when I tried to complete my vaccin record with the HD. She took the sheet, saying "I didn't give you the vaccine." I told her I knew that was so because I rembered the gentleman who gave me the shot. At this point she scratched out the name she had written. She returned the sheet and said "I don't feel comfortable giving you my name." I said "but you're the pharmacist, right?" She nodded, smiled and said "I don't feel comfortable giving you my name." I can't believe a Wallgreen's pharmacist, a professional, won't give...
Read moreI’ve tried calling prescriptions in using automated phone system, Walgreens app, and calling (it places you on hold your number #1 in line - till being on hold for almost 5 minutes and you become #2). I was on hold so long - that I drove to Verona while on hold, walked in still on hold (32 min) to see a drive thru associate rushing around, one pharmacist chatting about football from her workstation, and I (assume) the 3rd woman was a pharmacist with an attitude who looked up and never acknowledged me. Finally, the drive thru associate was free and I began my rant. Unfortunately, for the two who pharmacist who tried using, “phone issues” (oh look the phone rings) so one gets the phone and 2nd wants to help me. The conversation continues about the phone once the strawberry blonde gets off phone with 2nd pharmacist while looking at my prescription while I was standing there. A customer walks up and I hear we are under staffed, long hours and customers in store come first. So.... I go right to her workstation and she picks up the phone. I wait. Again, I don’t care about you being understaffed, long hours, etc. What I care about is customer service, timely prescriptions, and someone to reach for medication questions. I don’t mean to sound cold but I can’t help you with staffing. Needlessly, to say this was the first incident in (Jan) and yesterday made for 3rd (drive-thru with same strawberry blonde pharmacist who feels the need to exaggerate why the prescription wasn’t filled) and walks off. I chose to drive off with no prescriptions and do a face to face , today. So will I use Verona Walgreens ever??? NO I would rather pay out the pocket before using Walgreens in Verona. (NO other local...
Read moreThis review is for the pharmacy, not the actual store. Rude pharmacy technician... A young woman with curly hair, green hair dye and a nose ring... I told her I needed insulin syringes, she said they don't have them. I told her that's strange, and then she said they told her that they don't sell them there. What type of a pharmacy doesn't sell insulin syringes? Probably a quarter of their customers are diabetes requiring insulin and insulin syringes. So either they are a useless pharmacy that truly don't carry insulin syringes, or this is a case of being stereotyped when buying syringes. This has happened multiple times, the pharmacy technician decides whether or not you need the syringes for a legitimate purpose or not, based on how you look. They want to play the morality police. If that's the case, then that pharmacy technician is a clown. Sad reality is that I have a diabetic dog who uses Novilin N insulin, so if they did have syringes then she was denying a medical device for my sick dog. And if they don't actually sell insulin syringes, then they are pretty useless as a pharmacy. Some times small towns are the worst... Judgemental narrow minded people. Or lame pharmacies that don't carry things that should be always in stock. Save yourself the displeasure and try CVS or...
