To say YouPlusMe simply catered our wedding in May 2024 would not adequately explain the amazing work YouPlusMe put in to ensure our wedding was a complete success in all areas (food, drink, and service). My husband and I talked to a handful of caterers and none of them made us feel as heard, understood and looked after as YouPlusMe. My husband and I LOVED working with Lindsay and Chef Mike, even from California, we were able to connect with them easily. Their communication was excellent and their ability to adjust to food allergies and requests was exactly what we needed.

Our event was 185 people with a plated dinner and unique appetizers. We wanted the appetizers to reflect all the food we ate together as a couple and YouPlusMe delivered on all fronts. They were excited to hear about our ideas and worked with us to make the appetizers fun and tasty. ALL of our guests commented on how amazing the appetizers were!!! We had grilled cheese and tomato soup, falafel, spinach pies, chicken and waffles, and so much more. The main entree was short rib and cider glazed pork. Both proteins were tender and tasted absolutely divine!! Our wedding dinner was everything we wanted!

I was tired of talking to caterers who felt like they just wanted to make money off of us a couple and did not try to get to know us. YouPlusMe never made us feel like we were just another couple to them. Even on our tasting, they provided us a variety of different cuts of meat so that we could choose the best one for us and our guests. They also have fair pricing and do NOT up charge just because the event is a wedding. They did not charge for water service or cake cutting like many other caterers. Lindsay and Chef Mike are the most trustworthy people I have ever met and they are dedicated to making your day everything you dreamed of and more.

As a couple planning from California, we needed vendors that had amazing communication and Lindsay was absolutely amazing! Her communication was clear and honest. Lindsay was always quick to answer my questions and I always left our conversations feeling confident that everything would be all right with her in charge. A lot of our guests had allergies and she was able to calm my nerves. In addition, Chef Mike is an absolute gem! Having a chef so passionate about food is exactly what we wanted! He was able to explain the pros and cons of different meat styles and what would work best with our event size and plating style. He also came up with amazing ideas for appetizers after we told him some of our favorite foods. Lindsay and Chef Mike are dynamic duo.

Lastly, the service was absolutely impeccable. We never had a bar line and the food came out so fast! The appetizers were always replaced as needed! I cannot say enough about the service! We provided the alcohol but YouPlusMe provided everything else (Cups, garnishes, juices, sodas ect.) To have a caterer not only provide appetizers, entrees, but to also provide bar service was an amazing find! WE could not have asked for more! We truly found a gem in YouPlusMe!

Do not let other caterers with more of an instagram presence sway you. YouPlusMe is truly the equation you need for your wedding, they include you the bride and groom in the decisions and make YOU the priority and make YOUR vision come to life without you feeling like a money source. I will start by saying the food was amazing and leading up to our event, everything was great.

However, after they catered our 270 guests wedding. We would not recommend at all for anyone that has a large guest list like ours.

We hired them for our wedding to do family style and we learned after the wedding that hey ended up not giving 40 people's worth (which included one of the main family tables) their 2 other sides we paid for.

Then they missed giving vegetables to about 80+ guests and missed 40+ guests for their side of pasta. Mind you we paid for 270 peoples worth and there was about 250 people that attended, giving you an extra 20 people that there should have been "extra" for.

The staff was terrible service wise and did not go back to the tables they dropped off their dishes to because if they would have, it would have been clear to every staff member that each table was missing items that we paid for and were never served.

On top of not only not receiving certain dishes, they delivered the protein and they waited 30 minutes to deliver the dishes to the table...mind you this was my immediate family that was without food.

They tried using the excuse that the layout was confusing, yet it was communicated to them extensively where the main tables would be and who should be served first. We also had our wedding coordinator there whom made herself known to the chef and serving team.

Apart from the absolutely terrible service we received, they also arrived 3 hours later than agreed upon which then caused a literal noise disturbance during our ceremony as they arrived right as our car pulled up to walk down the ceremony. It was an absolute horror.

This then delayed the grazing table that should have been out and ready for guests after the ceremony... they ended up having the table out almost 1 hour after ceremony was done.

They had been unprofessional in communications by denying every single proof we have of their failure to deliver.

They made sad excuses and we also had a coordinator, so any questions they had, they could have contacted her as they were in constant communication.

They refunded our "tip" which was "not mandatory", but refused to partially refund us for food that was literally not even served to our tables because of them being negligent and unclear planning. The owner Lindsay was not even in attendance and her husband was the one running the event, so of course they will not accept any claims or take any responsibility for their lack of delivering a service we paid for.

The owner states her employees said "everything went well", of course they do- her husband is the chef and her mother was there "coordinating" the food. The bias is clear. The disconnect in what staff say occurred and what our guests are telling us, is large and misleading. I wish I could of had a better review as the food was amazing (for my husband and I), yet the experience was...

When you use You + Me Catering for an event, you are bringing in a team that will absolutely rock your world with their skills! We used this company for our wedding reception and every single one of our guests had AMAZING things to say about our food & desserts! The displays were absolutely beautiful, the food was hot and delicious, and the staff was incredibly sweet and profesisonal.

Pre-event communication was absolutely amazing! Lindsay made sure all of our questions and concerns were answered and that her team had all the information they needed to put together a flawless meal. Our tasting is beautiful memory that I cherish because we shared lots of laughs and got to eat a delicious meal! She even made sure she kept track of the things we said we liked most throughout the tasting!

I cannot say enough amazing things about the day-of execution of our meal from You + Me! One thing they don't tell you about being a bride is how many people will be asking you questions all day long. Lindsay and her team showed up at my venue, got completely set up, and executed one of the most delicious catered meals I've ever had, all without asking me a single question! It was the best gift they could have ever given me as a bride! Our guests had nothing but amazing things to say about the food and there were meals for anyone with allergies and for the kiddos! The entire team was sweet, funny, and hard-working, the entire thing was executed to perfection! I did not happen to take any pictures of the displays but they were BEAUTIFUL!

Another detail that really meant a lot to me and my family was their willingness to be helpful in accomodating any special needs from my guests. Someone who is very near and dear to my heart needed assistance with moving through the buffet line due to a disability and Lindsay was there ensure that he had any help he needed. Knowing that his needs were going to be met meant that he could be independent and that he didn't need to wait for anyone from his family to to help him get his food (his sister was busy being my bridesmaid). This is a small detail that highlights the care that You + Me catering will put into your event and the kindness of the entire group.
