On my birthday, February 7, 2019, an Asian male cashier took my $10 bill, believing it was counterfeit because it was torn and crumpled, as if it had been through the washer multiple times. This was actually the change I received from McDonald's. He insisted on giving it back to me, but I was extremely upset. I refused to support this store again unless I got my $10 back. I told him I would call the police, but there were people behind me, so I didn’t want to escalate things or waste anyone’s time. I'm 70 blk a Bay Area native. I've been in Stockton for 20 yrs. This meat market is the closest to the meat markets that were in my neighborhood when I was growing up. Tim.. Wing Lee...Ideal...the best meat in North Oakland. I hate to be negative but I must tell it like it is. The people are ok, not very friendly but just ok. The quality of the meat has truly changed from great to terrible. I recently bought two cases of tilapia fish and the fish was freezer burnt. Horrible. I returned it to the store only to have them exchange it for the same terrible fish. I ended up throwing out both cases and took a 60 dollar loss. I could have tried to take it back a second time but the meat guy treated me like I was lying about the fish being bad and was reluctant to even exchange it the first time. Never...
