Campesino Cafe — Restaurant in Stockton

My experience eating at Campesino Cafe was very positive. The service was slow but aside from this issue, the food is and was 5 stars. Let's begin with the handmade flour tortillas. The tortillas were so fresh, warm, and plump that this alone is worth visiting. For breakfast, I ordered the Chorizo, Nopales (cactus), Egg scramble. The fries (papa's) were sauteed just to perfection. The beans were freshly refried which i noticed being pan grounded on the stove. The Mexican rice was done with the correct amount of tomato sauce and with the perfect touch of salt. Our meal was served with a side of Red Mexican Salsa. Decided to try after hearing the menudo was the best. Didn't wait long for food to come out. Menudo was in fact delicious. Smaller bowl for the price compared to other places that serve bigger bowls though. Enchilada combo was ordered for party member as well. Enchilada had bland taste that was better after adding salsa. We were looking for a place to eat in the area we picked this place for the good reviews co sireing there are Mexican restaurants in every corner here. My daughter who is 7 does not eat Mexican, we bought her a happy meal one burger on her hands and a kid soda. Manager came in told me they don’t serve people who bring outside food. If you have kids you would understand what this means. Manager was rude, very poor customer service and bad experience.
