Maurices — Local services in Stow

I had heard that Maurices had nice clothing at reasonable prices so I decided to go shopping. The dresses and shirts are nice and the quality seems good but I will not patronize this store. I am an older larger women and I was treated like I was invisible. Other younger, slimmer shoppers were greeted upon arrival and asked if they needed help. I tried to ask for help but was avoided and ignored. I did manage to make eye contact with one sales associate but she scurried off before I could ask any questions. I have choices where I buy my clothes and where I spend my money on gifts and Maurices will not be one of those choices. Perhaps refresher courses in customer...

Overall I like the store but today I was very upset when I entered the door they looked at me like I was a ghost who just walked in because it was 10 till 5 and I didn’t know they closed at 5 the hours were not posted on the door. They said what do you need. I replied just looking around she said well we do close at 5 on Sunday. I replied with of I’m sorry I didn’t realize and said I guess I’ll turn around and leave you alone. Not a thank you or have a good night nothing just silence. I could have said will I still have ten minutes and made them stay over. I just felt very disrespected and I was kind enough to turn around and not shop...

The one women that works there, I assume is the manager is very rude. She's been there the last few times I've gone in the store and she is less than helpful. The most recent time, she did ask if I needed help finding anything, I was in a hurry so I said I was looking for a skirt to match my shirt. She pointed to the skirts she did have, there were only 3 and none of them really matched. I asked about jean skirts. She said "nope, sorry to burst your bubble" Oh, okay...thanks.

I love Maurices but I will just continue shopping online and not going into the store unless I have to...
