This store doesn't deserve a star, but unfortunately, I had to put something to post on here. Trust me when I say, RUN. Just don't bother coming here. The lack of knowledge and disrespect makes for what could be an exciting time in your life, a bad experience. After incorrectly sizing my finger for my engagement ring, multiple times (I'm suppose to trust the experts that do this everyday right? Apparently not because their lack of knowledge costed me my ring) my ring had been damaged. NOT only did they not inform my fiancé of this at pick up, they denied it once I called them to let them know as soon as he got home and I looked at the ring and saw that not one, not two but THREE diamonds were smashed in. I at this point, due to all the times of being sized, ect. due to them not sizing properly or using the proper sizers (make sure you are aware, thanks to Fairlawn Kay's for telling me, they have narrow sizers too!) have not even got to wear my ring more then a full day, it's been a month at this point since purchase! Prior to most recent pick up, where the ring was damaged. I asked the assistant manager for help to get properly sized due to the girls that work there lack of knowledge as this would be the third time not being able to take my ring home because it still was TOO BIG.. the manager got up threw me the sizers, and sat right back down at the computer and said there they are, you don't like how we size you since we keep sending it off. Your the customer your the one wearing it, I wouldn't tell you what size belt to buy would I? As I was in shock of his attitude, tears rolling down my face, in disbelief that this man was even a MANAGER let alone in customer service/sales. As he continued to stare at me, and told me I need to hurry up and make a decision on what size I'd be happy with because the store was closing and he had to call ups to come pick up I just went with what I thought was right. I should of ran then, but I wanted this nightmare to just end. We got a call that it was ready, and that's when we saw it was damaged. Nothing was ever said. I noticed it myself and called headquarters, I then went to fairlawn Kay's where they helped me and were so sweet and patient! Unfortunately, after the knowledge and speaking with the crew at Kay's and headquarters, they said the ring was so damaged it was best to just return it and start fresh with a new ring. Unfortunately, this ring was out of stock, and an online exclusive so I couldn't get the original looking one back. Just save yourself the experience of an awful time and enjoy a memorable moment at the Kay's...
Read moreI’m extremely disappointed! My boyfriend and I came in to look at engagement rings when we came in they said nothing to us. We had to go up to the people and ask where the gemstones were and she sat in her chair and pointed where they were and said if we need anything to come and ask. We wandered around for 15 mins looking at the gemstones and no one came by asking if we wanted to look or try anything on instead they were talking about their schedules. I’m assuming it was the manager and employee. She was talking about employees and how if she gave a particular girl too many hours she would probably end up quitting and that the employee (the one working) had to work her shifts as promised. Then went on to criticize the employee about using her brain and instead of asking if it’s diamond use a diamond tester. We kept walking around with nothing being said to us and we got fed up and walked to the door. No goodbyes, no have a good day, nothing. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you wanted to enjoy your time looking at rings with your significant other because it really killed our Saturday! If you want a respectful and attentive staff that will make the experience amazing, go to Jared on Howe Ave!
Update: I called them because I was extremely irritated about the way we were treated. I said I thought their actions were extremely disrespectful and she told me if I came back they were willing to help me now. I said I had already left and that I would be taking my business somewhere else....
Read moreI took my wedding set in to be sized in December. When I came to pick up my set, my rings were still a little small. I was told they guaranteed their work for six months. I left with my rings, thinking my hands may have just swelled for that day. After several months, rings still were not fitting so I brought them back in to be resized at what I thought would be no charge. When I came back in, I was told they only guarantee “repairs”. This is contrary to what I was told in December. Amy (the store manager) told me there is nothing they can do and that I signed off on the work. I told her I wouldn’t have signed off on the work if I had been informed that I could not have brought them back. I couldn’t get the rings on my finger in December why would I have left with them like that if I had known there was no way of bringing them back!?! I am reasonable, I’m sure this is their policy, but their employee informed me otherwise. Amy was very combative and was not trying to understand the situation. A simple “I’m so sorry there was a misunderstanding, that’s not our policy but I will definitely inform the employee of the rules” would have sufficed. When you are in the business of retail, customer service is everything…I can go anywhere to buy/ get my jewelry sized, fixed.
*Abrar was amazing and definitely tried to defuse the awkward situation. I will absolutely work with...
