First I’d like to say the lady who was serving hot cocoa was so sweet and that’s why I am giving 2 stars, because she made us feel welcomed.
My daughter (who’s 4) and I have never been Ice skating and we are in summerlin visiting family. From the moment we walked up to the counter to get skates, there was such animosity and attitude from the girl working. I told her it was our first time and she kinda just rolled her eyes and told her to fill out a form (like sure, no problem, why do you have attitude lol). We asked if there was anymore of the skate barriers to use and she was just snarky and mean and said no. We went to the rink and were skating and I noticed in fact there WAS barriers (about 3) that weren’t being used. I went over to grab one for my daughter whose been falling all over the place and put it on the ice and my daughter was already starting to go without me and the girl was asking me for my wristband to see if I bought it. I didn’t know it cost anything to use, and I don’t mind paying for it, but 1. She said there wasn’t any left to use and there were and 2. She made an effort to stop us when my daughter was about to be using it on the rink. She’s 4 so i need to be with her at all times, obviously, and she was just saying we couldn’t use it until we paid. Although I told her we would pay for it when we went around for 1 lap because my purse wasn’t on me and I would have to walk to my car to get it. After she made my daughter feel uncomfortable, my daughter said she was done ice skating. We were there for 10 minutes and she’s been excited about it all night, but she ruined our vibe and made the experience awful. She then yelled at us because my daughter accidentally walked in the conference for like .2 seconds to let a dog. Like are you TRYING to make our night miserable?! She was coming after us at all angles and it was just a bad experience. I’m a single mom and it’s hard to keep track of your child and make sure they follow ALL THE RULES, and you could obviously tell I was overstimulated and on the verge of a breakdown and she just had to make it worse.
So thanks lady for making our night memorable, and not in the way it should have been. Y’all should hire friendly people, especially since this a holiday themed attraction. 32$ for 10 minutes around...
Read moreDid not even get to experience the rink itself but based on the customer service from a Christian and Ramy (Ray girl) working at 9pm Sat night, at entrance for skates, was not pleasant by their dismissive demeanor. I was unaware of the time slots and we arrived late to be given our wristbands by my parents. When I inquired how it worked if we were late getting them from my parents. Christian asked “is there a question”? I stated that I’m asking if our wristbands are still valid, to which Ray looked at the wristbands and said it was past the time. I asked if my parents could get a refund on ours then since they weren’t used and was told “email us and someone will get back”. I understand these are kids working at these places but it is a Christmas time and everyone is in the spirit and just had an amazing time at the parade that was absolutely killed with their demeanor. If they told me “I’m sorry but your time slot has passed” then would be fine and I know for next time but from the moment we started until the end was just a super unfortunate encounter with them. Please find a job that thrills you kids because this isn’t it and it shows. I asked them for their names because I didn’t appreciate the way they handled it and they gave it without eye contact or care. I post less than 10 reviews a year, either really good or really bad, so just being in the best holiday spirit and encountering them...
Read moreVery unorganized! We now have been here three times, purchased tickets every time and waiting in the same line as the people who didn’t purchase tickets for over 30 minutes. What is the point of purchasing tickets online, when you are still required to stand in line with the people that are purchasing? They need two lines. Doesn’t make any sense and for the staff to say they are busy ??
In addition last weekend we witnessed a horrible fight right in front of the ice with teenagers beating up one kid. The staff stood and did nothing to stop it, after parents broke up the fight mall security showed up 10 minutes later. Staff didn’t even bother calling metro or anything. Please don’t leave young children alone! With all the teenagers they need a full time security especially when young kids are out in the rink! Very disappointed and hopefully whoever runs this rink needs to take responsibility and make sure...
