Anyone who recommends this place either, a. Really loves the wait staff. Or b. Wants you to know that they can afford an expensive restaurant for dinner. In short, the décor and aesthetic are stunning and beautiful. The service also scores high marks. The food, you can find a better meal elsewhere at this price point.
Décor: The entire restaurant is very Instagram-ready including the waiting area outside with the benches, green vines, and roots growing around it. It has been very well outfitted with a nice blue/gold/white aesthetic and touches of rustic wood from the front door and several pieces throughout the restaurant. The bar looked great and was set up in a way conducive for mingling and gathering with plenty of space for everyone.
Service: The host/hostess aren’t the friendliest, however, the servers, bussers, and other wait staff are really welcoming, friendly, and attentive – checking in often. Our water was always full, plates taken out of the way through transition, the table cleaned off of crumbs and the management comes by to check in. This is the kind of service that you would expect of a restaurant at this tier.
Bread service: In my experience, you can nearly tell everything that you need to about a restaurant from their bread service. And in this episode, that continued to be the case. The bread was not warm or fresh, came with a light buttery top, but not enough to really enrich the flavor, and overall, something you could pick up in aisle 3.
Appetizers: My wife ordered the French Onion Soup; I ordered the Traditional Caesar (minus the anchovies). The soup was…fine and left a lot to be desired. The salad was served more similar to a wedge than a Caesar, so I had to cut it all up myself. Generally, not a big deal except that the pieces I was served seemed to be mostly stock and inedible. This was quite a disappointment because the dressing had a promising flavor, just didn’t have enough of the salad to enjoy it.
Entrees: My wife was split between the ribeye (non cap) and the filet and after a bit of back and forth she settled on the 8 oz. Filet Mignon and I, the 12 oz. Peppercrusted [sic] NY Strip. Ladies and gentlemen, I am keenly aware that a NY Strip is not a ribeye, a wagyu, or any other number of cuts that may provide a more melt in your mouth experience. But when I tell you that this is the DRIEST piece of meat I have been served in years – I shit you not. While it looked cooked to my liking (Med-Rare) it was tough, dry, flavorless, and overall more disappointing than the ending of a three-day weekend. To call this a “Steakhouse” where this is what they are supposed to specialize in should constitute a misdemeanor at a minimum. This might be the reason why they were trying to push the $98 Ribeye Cap or the number of different sauces they offer to accompany your protein at $6 a piece – knowing that shoe leather is part of their standard fare. Under no circumstances are you to order this. I forbid it! You’d be better off eating an 8-hour crockpot roast at home.
I did raise my disappointment to the waitstaff who were very cordial and willing to refire a new one. But as a general rule, I don’t return food to the kitchen – read into that what you may. My wife had a similar experience with her filet though she is generally less vocal for fear of confrontation. I would have expected the staff to remove it off my bill. Instead they offered a dessert to compensate for the negative experience...a dessert.
Sides: If there is one bright spot on their menu, the Roasted Mushrooms is where it’s at. They were cooked well. Not too squishy as you would expect and made with a little glazed sauce; the seasoning gave it a variation to the traditional mushroom flavors. Honestly, I was very surprised – in a good way. We also order the crispy potatoes which also had a good taste to them. They had what I would describe as a lite batter on the outside and usual cooked potato wedge consistency on the inside, but they weren’t anything to write home about. They were both reasonably priced.

Read moreWe had friends from out of town who really wanted to try this place…even though I let them know we did not have a great experience last week. Our server was Skylar he was attentive and helpful. What we ordered: 1.) Wedge Salad (2) $18.00 each love this salad and if you love bleu cheese, this salad is for you! 2.) Grilled Branzino (2) $50.00 each another one of my favorites the fish was prepared perfectly light, moist and flaky. 3.) Crispy Potatoes (2) $14.00 the potatoes were perfect crispy outside moist inside. 4.) Key Lime Panna Cotta $15.00 light, fluffy and tasty. This dinner was much better than our previous meal.
Edit Update: My Hubby brought me here for my Birthday this past weekend. We have not been here in a while and we noticed many new faces and sad that the GM is no longer here. Bryson was our Bartender and Server for the evening, he made our night enjoyable! What we ordered: 1.) Crispy Calamari appetizer $23.00 some of the Calamari pieces were over cooked while some were great. They skimped on the aioli sauce. Please put more on the plate! 2.) Pastrami Wedge Salad $18.00 the pastrami pieces were not crispy enough and the wedge and dressing was delicious. 3.) Chilean Sea Bass $65.00 This dish is way over priced for the size of fish you get and ours was over cooked and dry! 😩 I would avoid this dish at all cost! 4.) Key Lime Panna Cotta $15.00 this was delicious but again very small portion for the price. Like I mentioned if it were not for our server this meal was not good as our previous visits. Sad to say this restaurant has gone down and the way customers were dressed a bit too casual for a Fine Dining establishment as this aspires to be! Update: came last eve and the Branzino was cooked to perfection! Haley our Wait Person was lovely and very attentive. The Green Dragon Apple and Chocolate Caramel Desserts were yummy. And drinks while pricey are prepared very well by Michael & Scotty. Revised: took a girlfriend here who is a foodie and food and drinks were impeccable. We had the Wood Grilled Branzino and it was fabulous. Update: went here last weekend and I noticed the Hamachi Crudo has gotten much thinner size wise and we ordered the Lamb Chop medium…it came so under cooked we sent it back for more cooking and when we got it back the taste was so Gamey I was shocked no seasoning at all I am very shocked as this is one of my favorite restaurants … i thought? The serves was impeccable from Jason & Jeanine. I am a very picky foodie growing up experiencing excellent food in San Francisco, New York , Asia and Europe-and Harlo was on point! The General Managing Partner is from Le Cirque so you know the dining experience is fabulous. One of the best eating experience I have had in...
Read moreLooking for the best quality steak and seafood restaurant and bar in Las Vegas? Theres no reason to go to the famous Las Vegas strip!!! I highly recommend Harlo. I was looking for a high quality steak restaurant for my YouTube channel, and I found it in Summerlin. Why Harlo? Let’s start with the service, for me, service is a deal breaker, if you don’t have an engaged team, that will reflect on your service level, we encountered with 7 team members from manager, chef, server and food runner, Ivo the manager is a great leader, always checking on entire restaurant operation and customers satisfaction. Trevor busser- recommended us double baked potato for next time. Super sweet. Jankarlo back server- made sure our drinks were never empty. Great job recommending drinks. Zoe Friedland server that’s been here since the opening of the restaurant. Rebecca server - super knowledgeable with the menu and gives great recommendations Chef Anthony Quinn- Chicago born. We know chicago are known for the best chop houses in the states. No wonder he knows how to make steak right. Young and professional. Executive Chef Gina Marinelli- local celebrity, shout out to one of few high profile female executive chef in town, and yet she is so humble in person. Always look out for young chef. Everyone is amazing !!! Later on I found out that they had no turn over since they opened. This is the best experience I ever had in Las Vegas. And I eat out 5 days a week. Second most important for me is the Food. Chef Gina did a great job balancing between traditional and modern food, you can find some unique and new creations, such as warm lobster Caviar burrata, flying fish and yellow tail hamachi, prickly’n’pink, summerlin oasis, but you can also find something as simple but good such as wood grilled branzino, double bone Sakura pork chop and ribeye cap. They also have seasonal tasting menu with appetizers, entree and dessert for under $100. We had several cocktails, all of them were fantastic. Our favorites were the Harlo Martini, Harlo Barrel aged and improved whisky cocktail. Spirit free and wine list also available. Last but least, it’s about the ambiance. In Vegas, you need to have something special for people to take picture to post on Instagram or for me to make video for YouTube. This place is classic, elegant and chic with modern 60’s vibe. Kinda of old Hollywood with touch of 2023. Every corner are Great for picture taking. This just might be my top choice for steak restaurant in Vegas, I definitely will bring my friends and family back for another great...
