Great food, terrible service (yes, the service really is that bad). Do not recommend.
I read the reviews and thought it couldn't be that bad could it? We are going on a Sunday, it should be slow, so it can't be bad. But it was. The first sign there was trouble was when we waited an extended time after seating to get the menu. I don't remember how long exactly but it was noticeably long. Then after we ordered appetizers and drinks we waited 20 minutes to get our drinks! The drinks were amazing but 20 minutes is too long!. Then 5 minutes after we got our drinks we were informed that one of the two appetizers that we ordered was out! We understand that happens but 20-30 minutes after we ordered is too long to wait to be informed. Sometime after we got our one appetizer (which was super tasty) we were informed that the entree we ordered was out of stock! At this point we had been there for an hour and had only gotten one set of drinks and one appetizer. Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that it was 9:30 on a Sunday and pretty much everything else in the area was closed, we would have left. We managed to pick something else that was actually available and mercifully sent to our table relatively quickly (it was also, super tasty). We paid and were out the door by 9:55 to catch a 10 pm movie.
We were there a little over an hour and a half and had managed to only be served one set of cocktails, one appetizer and one entree. And we had gone prepared to really enjoy the menu but service was so disorganized and slow it just didn't happen.
Other notes. The website says there is a strict dress code, that was not our experience but we also understand it was after 8 on a Sunday so I i didn't expect them to turn people away. We also knew that part of the restaurant was a 21 and over lounge and we had assumed that's where we were being sat since the area we were in had a long bar and high tables, but after 9 pm two families with small kids got seated near us. I don't have a problem with kids (i have three) but I was disappointed at the disruption especially on top of everything else. Our waitress seemed to disappear and i saw a man who must have been the manager walk around like he had nothing to do. It was very frustrating.
Again the food we had was amazing! The specialty cocktails we ordered were large and actually lasted us quite a while (great considering how long it took to get them), but the service was so slow and the fact that we weren't told that food was no longer available till long after we ordered is unacceptable. I'm so sad because i would have loved to enjoy more food but i cannot recommend this place until they fix the service and whatever communication issues they have between the kitchen and...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at La Neta Cocina Y Lounge and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. This modern Mexican restaurant definitely exceeded my expectations in terms of service, food, ambience, and drinks.
First and foremost, the service at La Neta Cocina Y Lounge was exceptional. Our server, Gus, went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of perfection. He was extremely attentive, polite, and knowledgeable. Gus not only guided us through the menu, but also took the time to explain the different flavors and ingredients in each dish, making sure we made the right choices for our preferences.
Speaking of the menu, the food at La Neta Cocina Y Lounge was absolutely delicious. Each dish we ordered was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. From the guacamole, which was creamy and garnished with perfectly ripe avocados, to the tantalizing Strip Steak Birria filled with tender, juicy meat, every bite was a taste sensation. Of course, no review of La Neta Cocina Y Lounge would be complete without mentioning their margaritas. These refreshing and perfectly balanced cocktails were simply divine. Sipping on a margarita while enjoying the flavors of Mexico truly elevated the dining experience. The variety of flavors and innovative twists on this classic cocktail made it difficult to choose just one. From the tangy and zesty lime margarita to the tropical and fruity mango margarita, each sip was a delightful journey for the taste buds.

Read moreI’ve wanted to visit this place for a while as the location is convenient and the interior seemed cool (probably one of the most upscale places in Downtown Summerlin area) but my first experience was a failure.
Food: It was Taco Tuesday so I ordered the 2 pcs of chicken Tacos. The meat was a bit overcooked which made it dry. Too bad I liked the seasoning.
The worst part was the taco shells that were incredibly chewy & rubbery! As the tacos were served with some white sauce on outside the shell (see the pictures), I couldn't grab them with hands so I tried to cut them with a knife more than 10 times each time cutting. I felt like it was leftover from last night being exposed in the air a long time.
It was nice they serve FREE nachos with salsa. The sauce tasted like store-bought though.
Ambience: The interior is very trendy and classy, loved the dark with dim lightings and Chandeliers. It felt more like a bar/lounge than a restaurant. The small tall tables were too close to each other and the chair was not comfortable. They played lounge music which I liked. I think it will be better to enjoy for drinks at night like a date night, a girls night or a birthday gathering.
There is an adult-only lounge area I haven’t been to.
Service: The host was friendly and promptly took us to a table. The waiting staff was average. Been checked a couple of times if there is anything we needed. A bit slow at times.
Hygiene: Utensils and cups were clean.
Price: It was Taco Tuesday so the 2 pcs of Taco was $9 but normal menus were a bit higher price point.
Location: It is in the shopping zone which is near West Elm, Crate& Barrel, Gap, Lulu Lemon and Farmers Market. So it is good to eat before/after shopping.
Parking: There is no dedicated parking space so had to street parking.
Etc.: Heard there are waits often so I suggest to get a reservation.
[Will I be back?] To be honest, I disappointed in this Mexican themed bar/restaurant couldn't impress me with such tacos. As a Vegas local, this won't be a repeated place for myself but I would give it another try if there is anyone wants to try some cocktails and photos for Instagram when I am in...
