I want to preface this by saying that I attended Jing for a Bachelorette Brunch reservation that had nearly 20 guests. Half of us who arrived on time and another half who trickled in at their convenience. I absolutely understand the difficulty of serving a party of this size and inconsistency during a busy brunch and having worked in the service industry for several years, I want to give grace for that.
Pros: -The atmosphere is a good time! Cowboy brunch, if you're into that sort of thing. (and the hours are currently listed incorrectly, they are open before 4pm on Sundays). It gets a bit loud, but it's a vibe. I hear the burger was delicious The servers- while not necessarily effective, mostly everyone was kind, friendly. Shout out to Dre for his help.
Cons: My biggest recommendation is that they should have staff for bottle service, and then servers and runners that are solely there to tend to the food service - here's why: The service was ROUGH. Though the first group of us had gotten our food within a reasonable amount of time, our bride, our guest of honor (the only person who really mattered), who ordered her Chillaquiles with the first of us, waited nearly an HOUR for her food. Luckily we were distracted by all the music and activities around us for a bit, but after we'd all FINISHED our food and she hadn't gotten hers (while we watched them bring everything BUT her meal and deliver elaborate table service to other tables) we started to complain. We talked to multiple people who would tell us "they were working on it" or "they would check on it," then never returned. To be fair, once she got her food, she enjoyed it.
Small things: My Georgia Peach was weak and watered down The breakfast burrito eggs were undercooked, runny and needed seasoning The menu said the 24K donuts (which were very good) came with strawberry compote - ours did not, but by that time we were so worn out, we didnt bother complaining. -Apparently they'd run out of bottled water by 1pm on Sunday (poor planning). By the end of our meal, they had gone to the store to replenish. -It also took a very long time just to get an order of deviled eggs. -I think my biggest frustration was that not ONCE did a manager come over to acknowledge or apologize for the inconvenience. They all seemed too busy with bottle service presentations and the women on the mechanical bull. -Also - the server said she'd remove the "food that took too long" from the bill. The chilequilles were still there.
Like I said, this place is a vibe, but they seemed a bit understaffed and overwhelmed by the brunch rush. Unfortunately, nothing about the food or experience would make me...
Read moreAs someone who hails from Denver (and regularly visits their Tech Center Location) - I wasn't sure what to expect. But this location is LUXURIOUS! My best friend and I arrived early for our reservation, but had a drink at the bar in the meantime. Though their cocktails were a tad on the sweet side, they packed a ton of flavor and there's definitely a full pour in there. The U-shaped bar with very on-trend LEDs above created a total vibe, as the DJ ramped up his set for a Thursday night. The place is filled with gorgeous people (guests and employees), and they appear properly staffed. We had the Shishito Peppers as a snack while before moving to a booth for dinner. Perfectly sauced, delicious little crunch from rice cracker balls sprinkled on top. The Wagyu Hot Rock is a must try. The experience of cooking it yourself while dry ice billows from underneath certainly speaks to the theme of "elements in balance." Our server Madison was upbeat, personable, and made us feel like she truly cared about us and our experience. There was a group nearby at a hightop demanding a lot of her attention, yet we always had what we needed and she took time with us when ordering each course. That said, she personally doesn't like the asparagus, but we tried it anyway. Holy Mother of Vegetables - it's FABULOUS! Everything had flavor, and portion sizes were generous, but not overwhelming. We chatted with Rob V (Manager) who is professional & driven, yet so personable, met Caesar - great manager as well, and Chef Thomas checked in with us. We were so happy with everything. And capped our night with espresso martinis. Connoisseurs take note, theirs are more black coffee liqueur-driven than the sweet and creamy style that's been popularized everywhere lately. I loved it, my friend had had better. The only suggestion I have would be to find a DJ who doesn't just spin trashy club hits of the last 25 years (only). He seemed very uninspired and the crowd seems more sophisticated than that. But definitely an experience was WELL-WORTG going off-strip for! You could hang here all night! Just make sure to call ahead - it filled up quickly...
Read moreTerrible. Strongly recommend against. Terrible and slow service. Poor management.
Reservation Sat 20 minutes late for reservation and we had to ask to get their attention to sit us. A five person hostess staff (including manager) had no clue what they were doing. Not a good start.
Wait Staff After 20 minutes of no show we never saw our waitress and so had to ask for her. When she finally arrived, she didn't care less about us, going immediately to, "What would you like to order?" No apology for the delay. No hello. No thank you for coming to our new restaurant. No introduction to the menu. Blunt. Rude. We saw her maybe three times more the rest of the night. Keeping in mind the service was so slow this means we saw her 3 times over 2.5 hours. Terrible representative of the restaurant.
Food The food was tasty and well prepared. Nothing blew us away, but we enjoyed everything we ate. The kitchen was no good in terms of timing. For example we received our starts/appetizers a full 40 minutes after we ordered them and full 20 minutes after our entrees arrived. And again, we had to ask for them. Totally backwards and a poor experience.
Atmosphere The lights were out over our section of tables leaving everyone to dine in the dark. Not in a good way. We asked and a bus staff remarked about the issue and they were "working on it". No fix. No follow up. Our entire 2.5 hours of dining was in the dark. Terrible. Tables too small. Too tightly spaced.
Management No less than 3 managers walked (and the owner) by us throughout the evening many, many times and not one stopped by the table ever. We were obviously frustrated. They seemed to avoid the patrons rather than engage with them.
Summary Over $200 and 2.5 hours of frustration. Easy to chalk this up to a new restaurant issue but in the end I think the ownership doesn't care enough to hire and/or train its people. We as guests suffer.
Don't waste your...
