I give 2 stars because she did get me out within 10 minutes, but the whole experience was very unnerving… The main thing I did not enjoy was the fact that she used soft wax for my Brazilian. Typically, when you have course hair like me the best method for hair removal is hard wax, which she did not have. I was very tempted to go ahead and cancel because I genuinely did not want to use soft wax, but before I could even suggest that she went on ahead and instructed me to get ready and get on the table and I was just like “let me just get it over with, she has great reviews it cant be that bad” you know, with her years of experience n all… Honestly, I’m not gonna say she was terrible. It just isn’t for me. The way she positioned to me was weird. I get if that works for her It works for her and I’m plus size so maybe she thought she had to do so but all of my years getting waxed it was definitely a new experience and I can’t say I was the most comfortable. And instead of trying to make me feel comfortable, she just kept instructing me to do this or do that, stressed my breathing, and she was slightly pushy, not rude, but pushy. So it was kind of stressful for me. On top of that, she genuinely does talk a bit much 😂 I couldn’t really get a word in most times. Then upon leaving, even though my wax was within five weeks, she took it upon herself to say that it was six weeks or more and charged me more even though I know it wasn’t past six weeks, but it is what it is with that. I will say my hair is definitely growing back in a very uncomfortable way, way more ingrowns and irritation this time, not like it would with my normal wax person. If you want a quick session, she works, so I’m not gonna say don’t go here. It just wasn’t for me.

UPDATE: to address the response, I wasnt unwilling to listen at all, I was super uncomfortable in your care… You were going fast , any faster it would have been painful. Hence why I stated if you need a QUICK wax you are the ideal person for the. It’s towards the end. Not going fast enough wasnt a problem. And as far as the type of wax, its your system. It is what it is, not only do my main waxers always use hard wax, if I ever requested hard wax they have it on hand and switch it immediately no problem.. so I just assumed having both was a standard since that is what I’ve experienced over the years. My apologies then for making that such a complaint .. if anything I wouldn’t return because based on my comment and other low rated comments, your responses and attitude is very off putting. It seems any low rate is more triggering than looked at as a way to improve… if your client is uncomfortable, saying “you werent listening , you were a challenge” isn’t helpful and doesnt make me want to try again. I had a gift certificate that was for an hour long massage and then an additional $25 for another service. I booked the massage online and planned to use the extra $25 when I got there because I wasn't sure what services were offered. When I arrived I told them my name and they could not find the extra $25 service that the family member had included when they gifted it to me. They looked at me like they didn't believe me and kept saying "Well we don't see it." I showed them in my email and we got it straightened out. They were looking in the wrong folder. This took several minutes because of their lack of organization. I was asking about the added service and they lady (Karen) said "You can do it after the massage. But just letting you know, you are already 10 minutes into your massage time. " So I said, whatever just get started. Karen took another five minutes to come in. Then she had to "prepare" the room which should have already been done. She was unfriendly, impersonal, and cut the massage short by nearly 20 minutes. I arrived before my appointment time to specifically talk about the additional service and the reason they started late was fault of their own. There was not a single other client in the office. When Karen finoomy massage she went and sat in a chair and started talking to someone. So I know she didn't have to rush me to get someone else in.

I was trying to schedule an additional service and was being told that everything was an "add on" service. Meaning that I would have to get another massage and add on something during that massage. They never told me that beforehand and I was four days from moving out of the area, so I wasn't going to come back. So I made an appointment for the next day for eyebrow tinting. My brows are very blonde and should be easy to tint. They lady said 'Well, it's not taking for some reason. " So I left with eyebrows lighter than before I went and more money down the drain.

Rude, impersonal, and just wanted my money.. I would never recommend this...

The hubs and I recently visited About The Body Day Spa and had an exceptional experience! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and relaxed. The ambiance is serene and beautifully designed, creating the perfect environment to unwind.

The staff were professional and attentive. My massage therapist was highly skilled, taking the time to understand my needs and providing a personalized treatment that left me feeling rejuvenated and stress-free. The quality of the products used was good and I appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect of the massage service.

Additionally, the variety of treatments offered is impressive. Whether you’re looking for a deep tissue massage, a soothing facial, or a complete spa package, they have something for everyone.

Overall, About The Body Day Spa met our expectations for the most part. I recommended for anyone seeking a spa experience!
