I give it only 1 star, not because the food isn't good (or at least possesses the capability to be the best sandwich in town), but because this is now the third time in a row that they can't seem to get my order right. I am beginning to wonder why they ask, "What would you like on it?" because they will make it how they want it, not how you ask. AVOID THE DRIVE THRU! You have to watch the employees like a hawk when they make your sandwich, because what you ask for will not be put on it. I've gone so far as asking them to repeat it back to me, which they do, but then you get a sandwich with none of the requested items put on it. I can understand a mistake one time. A 2nd time in a row can also be a mistake. But this is now the 3rd time in a row and that is why I am writing this review. Palmetto Subs USE to be my favorite place for a sandwich, but until the employees learn to follow the answer you give to their question "What would you like on it", it's becoming nothing more than an aggravation. I don't write reviews, and I don't usually complain. I wouldn't care if it wasn't at one time my favorite sandwich shops. I'd just stop going. But I keep hoping and I keep getting let down. Read moreThis food establishment has fell off tremendously when it comes to the food, the taste of the food, employees, management, etc. I went to palmetto subs February 26th, 2025. When I first walked through the door. I was not greeted or even acknowledged by staff. It was three staff behind the counter, two men, one female. I went up to the counter to place my order. No type of organization or friendly demeanor from the staff. I paid for my food. Waited for my food to be fixed. The staff puts on gloves to prepare food.They will touch the receipt paper and touch their clothes while wearing the same gloves theh make your meal. They also talk while they're making your food and over your food so you don't know if spit particles or anything is on your food. Sanitation is a disregard at this location. Even the sanitation of inside the building. The ceilings are collapsing and dirty. The vents are extremely dirty. The bathroom are barely clean. Everything in that store that used to be okay now is a mess the last time I was there. Customer should not be treated this way. Do Not recommend this establishment every again. I have been a long time customer here however I will never again spend my hard earned money here every again. If it was possible I would have gave a 0 rating for this unprofessional staff member. I asked to order a chef salad without the ham because I do not eat pork. When I asked if she could sub out the ham for turkey she stated it wasn't possible. I proceeded to ask her what does she do for customers who does not eat pork?
