The WORST Home Depot experience ever!! Usually at HD, employees are falling all over themselves to help, but not at this location. Inventory is constantly low. Tons of employees running around in orange aprons but not one seems to be able to help and management is non-existent.
"Shawn" pointed out where the large trash bags were when we asked (my teen daughter on foot, me in the electric cart b/c of broken foot). Shawn never bothered to walk into the aisle with us and help us find our bags. Turns out what we needed (had purch. them many times before at HD) was not on the floor, my daughter found an employee that searched the computer, found there were 70* in inventory, went back to the aisle w/ us and saw they were on a pallet way up on the top shelf. He said he'd go find a fork lift to get them down. 20 minutes later he was still running around "looking for someone" but to his credit he never stopped trying to help us and kept coming back to tell his "he was still working on it". After 20 minutes, I drove the electric chair to Cust. Serv. and asked for a Manager. The lady doing returns wanted to know why. I told her I'd prefer to speak w/ a manager. She insisted on knowing why, so I gave her a brief rundown. She left her register at Cust. Serv., came to the aisle with me, I pointed to the pallet the first employee had identified for us and she asked me for the SKU number. How would I know that?! I'm the customer!! I told her about the employee running around trying to get a forklift over and she said, "I'm a manager and I have the ability to do that, I'll be right back." I never saw her again. 5-10 more minutes pass and Shawn shows up. Turns out he's the store manager??!! He's the one that originally pointed to the aisle but never bothered to follow through and help us find what we needed (which a manager should w/ someone w/ a cast on in a motor cart). Shawn then said he'd get a forklift. After 5-10 more minutes, we decided to leave. Ran into Shawn on the way out. He said to please give him more time. I said no that I'd already waited over 35 minutes, but I'd appreciate a voucher for free or for a discount for when I went to get the same item at HD in Davie next week. (Keep in mind, w/ a broken foot, it's a big deal to park, crutch, get cart, etc., etc.) He said no, he couldn't do that. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE...ESPECIALLY SINCE I DO NOT BELIEVE SHAWN IS A STORE MANAGER. HOW COULD HE BE? HE IS TOTALLY UNTRAINED IN CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Besides this one experience, since I had over 35 minutes waiting in that aisle on my cart, I saw that area was "managed by Jason". Well Jason's supervisor should know he's doing a horrible job keeping his isle stocked and back-stocked. There were empty holes of inventory everywhere and full pallets up above. Training IS needed in all departments, apparently, at the Sunrise, FL...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe store itself is fine (it's a standard Home Depot), but this RainSoft company they contract to sell you water purification systems is not. Some girl was conducting a survey in-storeabout water quality and asked if we'd like a free water test performed. I figured why not- this was a mistake. The man who came by asked me to clear one side of the sink to conduct the test and have everyone gather to see the results. No big deal. Then he started knocking around everything on my counter with his cases, tablet, and hands (which he hadn't washed... during covid season) including dishes food. He went out of his way to pet our dog without permission (still without washing his hands). He then removed two bottles (one labelled "TAP", the other "TREATED") from his test case. The treated one was crystal clear, but the tap one was grimy and only translucent. I pointed this out and mentioned you can't compare results for a purification system with one contaminated specimen container, he said it's because fine since it's for tap water. I asked if he'd like to get into the chemistry of that problem, and he said "not really." He went out to his truck briefly for whatever reason. He put water in both bottles, put a drop of some unknown-to-me orange solution into each, pulled a filthy toothbrush out of his bag, scrubbed each bottle about 4 times, then dumped and rinsed both quickly. ALL OF THIS happening over my clean dishes. Because why WOULD he use the side I emptied for him?! I called him out on this, too. He pulled his phone out of his pocket (screen was off), clicked the button on the side (screen turned on), asked if he could take the call (because you need to click your screen on to see an incoming call, apparently), and, when he came back, he said his wife had a car problem. When he asked if he could return in an hour or two, I said "yeah, probably not." He asked if we'd like to reschedule in a day or two, and I said "probably not." He even tried asking if next week would work. "Yeah, probably not then, either." He finally got the message and saw himself out. Now that I've sanitized my kitchen and removed whatever it was he dumped all over my dishes and cleaned the dog, I just need to warn people. This company Home Depot is working with is trying to use bad scientific technique to deceive you and make your water seem worse than it is. They don't treat your kitchen or things with any respect. They don't even follow basic courtesies necessary during the pandemic. PLEASE, do not let these people into your home. If you're worried about your water quality, get a test from the county (they work with the EPA... they don't want to sell you anything, they want to keep you safe). And shame on Home Depot for being associated with this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHome depot is the most unreliable place to buy Appliances. I ordered a stove and A refrigerator That was on sale. I was told it was on back Order. I would not get Stove and refrigerator Until February 12. On the 14th I received a phone call robo phone call at that. Stating I would not receive my stove and refrigerator and till March 28th. So I went to the store on University drive sunrise and I told the woman that salt me the stove and refrigerator my situation. Meanwhile I was living out of the cooler and having to buy food on a daily bases and ice. Cost me more money than I can afford. I answer to cancel my order. The manager of the appliance department sad let me help you gave me a big discount on a different refrigerator and stove. But.... He showed it to me on a computer because it was not in the store. When the refrigerator and stove arrived at the discount price that he gave me telling me was actually an upgrade. Was really a downgrade. King lowered the price on each won $100. Sounds good doesn't it. Because he canceled my Original order it did not show how much money I already put down. Almost $350. My bill shows That Bill shows I 0 $900 with my savings? Where is the money they already put down since December 2020. Play them a minimum payment this Time. I received AM another bill. The bill still Shows $900. Where is the monies that already paid and where other discounts you gave me. I reached out to them again I spoke to the person that sold me the appliances. She gave me her word she would call me back within an hour. It was 14 hours later she left a voicemail on my phone telling me they would make arrangements to pick up the stove and refrigerator. 1st off the stove came broken, The refrigerator is so tiny inside you cannot even put a gallon of milk On the shelf. It's missing a shelf. I would never ever recommend buying appliances from home depot. Also I spent $5000 on my bathroom. Again many things had to be return because they were the wrong size to fit in my bathroom. Supposably the gave me credits for what I had returned I have the receipts to prove it. And yet they wanted $400 for of remaining balance which should have been $90. Once they come and pick up these items I will just go back there and just by my little things having it around my house. I will go back to Lowe's never had a problem with them. I'm really sorry to say I give them a one as far as...
