While I'm not accusing anyone, I'm quite confident this occurred at this particular store. After making a purchase here, I discovered two fraudulent transactions on my bank account the following morning. I meticulously retraced my steps from that day, noting that the other two stores I visited were corporate establishments. One of the transactions was traced back to a Chinese clothing website, with items resembling those sold in these beach stores. I recommend using cash when shopping at these beachside stores.

Indeed, I agree that any typical customer would contest such transactions with their bank, which is precisely what I did! It was my bank that conducted the investigation and disclosed that the charges originated from this website, as any further investigation from your store in particular could not be completed.

You're right, I did use my card in the machine, as it was the only available option and tapping wasn't offered. The cashier insisted on card insertion.

WARNING: DO NOT BUY THE UMBRELLAS. This store is a high-prices tourist trap, and while I cannot speak on the quality of their clothing, accessories, and souvenirs, I can confirm that the quality of their beach gear is horrible. They are selling dollar store product at a ridiculous price. We paid $70 for an umbrella and stake, and thought that for the price it would be decent quality but we were so so so wrong. The umbrella CRUMBLED after its SECOND usage against the normal winds at Sunset Beach. Buying from this store was a huge regret because not only could we not be refunded, no exchange or any any effort would be made to make the situation right/better for us. Save your money and buy beach gear (and any products) from a store that will have better quality and better customer service. Wish I could...

Every time we come to Sunset Beach we always come to this store, there used to be friendly people working here and we never had any problems. We went in there today and the card reader was declining cards. I said it must be broken because there was absolutely NO REASON that my card would decline. We tried it twice. The man Checking me out had the audacity to tell me to show him my ID and tell me maybe it wasn’t working because it wasn’t MY card.
