If you go for breakfast pack a lunch!! Walked in on a Sunday morning and was the third person on line. Not that busy and orders were processed within a reasonable amount of time. We ordered two bacon egg sandwiches and were handed a receipt noting our order number and time of the order. Twenty minutes past and were watching the 4 women behind the counter bumping into each other with nothing to do. I inquired as to the status of the order and received the canned response it should be right out. Thirty minutes past and I inquired again to the women who took the order whom I assumed was the owner. response," That's why I had my employee check the order time" The rest was inaudible as her back was turned while speaking and retreating to the back room. So we ordered at 10:49 and recieved our order at 11:34. If we received a apology, a apologetic excuse, or even an offer for a warm cup of water in a used cup it would have been more than acceptable. What we received was nothing, zilch, nada. We go all out to support our community and local business. But this uncaring attitude will be the doom of all local business. Read moreA top-notch coffee shop, in my opinion.
After a series of random events, I found myself washed up at Sunset Beach, NC; and, in search of some good coffee and a place to eat my lunch, I spied Maverick's Java on its pleasant roadside lot. To my surprise, the shop turned out to be everything I wanted: good espresso at a good price in a good location -- and organic coffee to boot! The barista who waited on me was friendly and attentive (and obliged my order for a weird, single-shot Americano); also, the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. In the end, I sat out front under an umbrella, eating good food and drinking good coffee and reading a good book -- excellent! In my lunch hour spent at Maverick's, all was right in the world, and I left with a special satisfaction.
My thanks goes out to all associated with this business. I am grateful for, and have benefited from, your work and service. Keep it up,...
Read moreConsider this a warning. Do not step foot in this place. Food: mediocre at best. They offered whole grain pancakes instead of regular pancakes. Normal people eat pancakes BECAUSE they’re sweet...no one wants whole grain to be the only option. Each of our three plates came out completely separate times. And by that I mean 15 min apart for each of them. Who does that? Coffee was okay. No speciality or quality coffee. Must pay $1 for a refill. Which is not worth it for mediocre coffee. Service: incompetent. They completely forgot about my latte and I had to go up and ask them again. They didn’t even remember what I ordered.
Lastly: absolutely no decor appeal. This place has no idea what it is. Nothing matches and who in the world has a Zoltar machine in the restaurant. Oh, and was out of order. If you want a good breakfast place, I suggest hitting up Blueberry Grill in North Myrtle...
