I'm giving 3 stars because I had no problems with MY hair or makeup either time I used them, but we had other issues.
I used this salon for my covid wedding last June where my sister and I went into the salon for hair and makeup, and for my vow renewal last month. The biggest problem was the communication. I struggled with that both times. Last year when covid shut everything down and we pushed our big wedding a year they had problems figuring out how I wanted to do it (2 appointments last year where we came to them, and 6 this year where they came to us). This year I had probably 4 phone calls with them in the 6 weeks leading up to the vow renewal and every time we confirmed something it was wrong. (We had 6 makeup with lashes, and 5 hair. I don't understand why that's so complicated.) I was actually shocked that they were there on time and (moderately) organized. I do know they had a change of ownership in the year between weddings so maybe that played a roll. It was just a mess. This is easily the vendor I spent the most time taking to and it was such a pain.
The cabin we got ready in didn't have great light so one of the makeup gals did it outside on the deck, but I guess the other was afraid of heights (it was the villas by spirit mountain and the cabin was raised) so she did it indoors. I think all the girls who had her had to fix eye makeup. A couple people had to fix hair after they were gone.
Idk.....I might be a little disappointed because between the 2 years I probably spend $1500 there and it was...
Read moreFirst, I will start by saying I've been here multiple times and have never had a problem, but this time just didn't sit well with me and after thinking about it for a bit I decided to post a review. I'm not the kind of person who ever complains. I was getting a cut, color, wax. Im a new mom, so things like this are a luxury for me. A chance to be pampered. I decided on going blonde for the summer, and I wanted my haircut shoulder length. The stylist started to do the color and noticed some dry patches on my scalp and mentioned them to me. No big deal. The later on in the appointment, she found another patch, and very loudly started talking about it with another stylish. Who diagnosed me with psoriasis. Comparing it to something she had seen on another client and naming her. It was embarrassing to say the least. Everyone in the salon could hear. So much for my relaxing time. Then we get to the haircut. I asked for shoulder length and she cut it barely chin length. I dont know how that happened. The whole thing made me feel bad and sad. Don't know if I'll come back or recommend this salon anymore. Also I don't have psoriasis I have eczema and had a reaction to a hair product. Also didn't get my eyebrow wax but that is fine. I was so upset when I left I didn't want to spend another...
Read moreAll the ladies at Serenity Spa and Salon are welcoming and friendly. We had our wedding in the dreaded year of 2020 and wedding planning was stressful. Not only did Raya and Serenity Spa make booking and planning easy, they rocked it! All my ladies looked sooo fabulous! Their makeup and hair was beautiful and the girls were on time and worked quick. I would strongly recommend Serenity Spa and Salon to work your wedding. I wish I could post pictures on here because I was OBSESSED with my lose boho braid (that didn’t move an inch throughout the night) as my bridal hair. I would like to also give an extra shout-out to Raya, who not only did a beautiful job on my hair and makeup, but went out of her way to the cabin where my husband and his groomsmen were staying to make sure that no one needed a last minute cut and that their tuxes weren’t wrinkled. I appreciate whole heartedly the stylists at Serenity Spa and definitely recommend their wedding services....
