AXESCAPE ROOM/ Escape Room — Local services in Surprise

My family and I (kids aged 2-13) have officially done all 3 of the rooms here. They are AMAZING. The game masters are super helpful and the atmosphere is great. It’s BYOB after 4pm if you want which is nice.

The first room we did was Things are Strange (Stranger Things themed) and it was so cool to be immersed in this world! The puzzles are difficult, but not impossible. It made for a great challenge.

The second one we did was Last of Ours (Last of Us themed). This one was COOL. The puzzles seemed slightly easier for us than the first room, but the story was really neat. The forms of different puzzles in this one really got us moving, too!

The last one we did was Unhaunt the Mansion (Haunted Mansion themed) and I think it was my favorite. It was the hardest one for us, but the whole room was so well planned. The puzzles definitely take more steps than others, but it got our brains WORKING. The very end was our favorite! The most fun escape we’ve done.

My husband and I were really disappointed with our experience. We've done almost 400 escape rooms, and this one falls at the bottom of the list. We agreed afterward that it felt like we were beta testing an unfinished room. There were many aspects of the experience that could be easily tweaked like adding music so that it's not silent. There were other issues that are more difficult to fix like the unattentive GM. We're also not a fan of red herrings, and this room is full of them! I also have a really hard time with darkness adding to the difficulty of a room. If you're considering an escape room outing, I would encourage you not to get overly excited about the theme of this room. You'd be better off going somewhere else so that hopefully you leave wanting to play another...

We did the Stanger things themed room on our anniversary and it was great. Escape into a world of excitement at this escape room!
