Darn near 5*! I wish there were halves.
I like to add pictures to my reviews, but am afraid I ate my wonderful sandwich too quickly.
Entering the deli is exactly as I like, wonderful smells of freshly baked bread and happy, helpful people at the ready!
My wife had the Penny Club and I had the Goodsense Original.
2 bread choices, white or wheat and both were very soft and yummy. The meat was sliced just for you and then moved on to the 'toppings station', which all looked fresh. There was no need to ask for different tomatoes or leafy lettuce, as we often do.
Bonus points for the standard Italian seasonings and oil and vinegar! I went mayo on this day, personally, but my wife was very pleased with hers.
Normally this has 5* all over it, there were two things that took that (half!!) star away. First is bread choice, I'd like to see a crusty bread option in addition to the two nearly identical soft textures. Second, we shared a cookie, double chocolate chip, and, unfortunately it was not just below average, we didn't even finish it between us. I would have called it a "No bake, Sugarless, Coco, Brookie." Not sweet. Not chocolate. Under-baked to nearly unbaked and oily/greasy.
So disappointing to end a great meal on this note! Perhaps other cookie types are better, but in good conscience, this and the bread choices knocked it off the 5* rating.
This will not deter many returns from us! Just hold the double chocolate chip...
Read moreGoodcents on Greenway/303 Went there today because I've seen really good reviews on this place. Unfortunately I couldn't even try a sandwich, I walked out in the middle of getting it made. This place is filthy, there is mold growing on the sandwich bar all around the interior edges which you can see through the clear containers the veggies are in. The floor was dirty, flies all over the place landing on the food. The cutting boards filthy, condiment bottles just thrown in there not getting refrigeration. Not to mention the guy making sandwiches had long hair and was not wearing a hat or hair net. I have worked in the food service industy 35+ years. Maybe that's why I notice these things more than the average person. I will definitely not be going back. Later in the day I called the store and spoke to the manager (He said his name is Charlie) I addressed all the issues I mentioned before. After every issue I mentioned, there was a long pause and a ummm. I asked what he had to say about it. He said I should speak to the owner about it. He took no responsibility or offered no immediate solution. I see the owner is very responsive to reviews on google. I hope these issues get addressed promptly. I was looking forward to trying this place. I also filled a report with the food safety...
Read moreI will start with what I liked about this store. They were good about maintaining a safe distance between the workers and customers. Also, you must check your temperature and be cleared by the device before you can step to the counter and place your order. Which is always something I like to see when out in public places. For the not so good part...something that I had noticed while dining in this food establishment today was...the number of employees working that shift. It didn't make any Good sense to me that they had 4 employees working at a store that was not busy at all! Usually, that wouldn't bother me at all as long as each employee kept busy. Not one of them stayed up front and organized the mess of stuff i saw spread out over the ENTIRE countertop behind the food prep line. With that many workers there, they should have had at least one stay up front to greet customers as they swept up the food scattered floors and made the place look clean & organized. At least from the customers point of view. It is the first thing a customer sees when walking into the restaurant. It may seem petty or overly critical to say this in my review. However, it did bug me enough to make me not want to eat or dine there again. I will not be recommending this place to anyone of my...
