This is the best music school out in Surprise, AZ and I am happy I found it! The owners, staff, and music teachers/instuctors are all awesome. My daughter started piano lessons at Surprise Academy of Music at the age of 5 & 4 year later she is still here. My daughter loves attending the school. Everyone at the school is so friendly, welcoming, and supportive. All the music teachers/instructors are all patience and kind hearted. The best part of the school is the 'Music Ninja' way the kids learn music. They receive colored wrist bands after testing their knowledge on what they have learned. My daughter loves it and is currently a Blue belt working on her Brown Belt, and wants her Black Belt and name on the board for all to see her success. The school also offers several recitals for the students to join for them to showcase what they have been playing/learning for their family & friends. All of my adult life, I've missed playing music. Life got busy with career and family, but I realized that a big part of me was missing. I was so excited when my step daughter wanted to play violin. We started her in lessons after Christmas. I love to see her playing and improving, and it wasn't until early April that I decided to take a leap and sign myself up for piano lessons. I love taking time to practice. That's my "me" time, as well as my weekly lessons with Shawna. Our family loves this place! It’s a great school for all ages. We started with our child taking guitar lessons and absolutely loving it, so I signed up as well. I was super nervous about starting as an adult with no prior music education. Craig Morby is such a talented, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and patient instructor. Each lesson is tailored to the students individual needs. He challenges his students but makes learning super fun. We’ve also taken piano and voice lessons here.
