Moved into a new place with washer and dryer, but the dryer wouldn’t heat up to dry clothes. Initially B&B Appliance was contacted to come out and repair the dryer. Bad part was that they had to schedule a repair visit 2 weeks out.. ok, so the guy shows up, can’t seem to fix the issue on this visit. I ask how long till he can come back? Repair guy says “I don’t know, I don’t do the scheduling” (WHAT!). Ok so I wait 20 days, no contact, I call the office and speak to a receptionist, she asks the address, says that not all parts are in yet; they will call when everything arrives (Uuugggg!!). A Week goes by, B&B calls, says the parts are in and when would I like them back—I tell them sooner than later, she says they will be out next week (ARRRRR more time… it has now been a month to get this repaired). Repair guy comes back, I meet him at the door and ask if he has all the parts, he says “ I didn’t order any parts” (WAaaat!), He states he hasn’t found the problem yet to know what to order. He comes in starts taking the dryer apart… 2 hours later he says he has to order parts, a thermistor! I ask how long to get that part, he tells me “I don’t know, I don’t do the ordering, maybe a couple weeks, then we have to schedule the return visit, that could be another couple of weeks”!!! I was at the point of tearing my hair out. Well I couldn’t take the people from B&B Appliance telling me that it might be another month before they could come back and fix the dryer. I called A1 Appliance (highly recommended on Nextdoor Neighbor app), they sent out a repair person in about an hour. Spencer came in, and within 30 min identified the problem. I told him what the guy from B&B claimed the problem was, Spencer says nope, it is the igniter! Ok how long to get the part? Spencer says about 5 minutes I have it on my truck, I was shocked! Within about another 30 minutes he had the dryer up and working and testing it. Unbelievable! 1 hour to repair something that the B&B guy had to make 2 trips and several hours to tear apart. Read moreIn response to the owner. You say it was tested. GE sent a tech out to repair what was a broken arm in the bottom of the dishwasher and to reset and update the hardware. That to me says that you sold me a defective appliance and have foisted responsibility onto GE. They are coming back out again because even after the first service call, the machine makes a lot of racket and the dishes come out dirty. This was a truly expensive mistake and I really don't understand the good reviews unless everyone actually bought 'new' appliances. I stand by my original review. Buyer beware. If you were a responsible business owner who cared about customer service you would have replaced this dishwasher, acknowledge that it was broken to begin with and deal with GE yourself. I for one have been without a working dishwasher since I purchased my 'new' one from you.
James is just as charming as everyone says he is and the installer as well. What we were told and what actually happened however is two different things. Once you pay for your appliance don't expect any kind of service. They sell, deliver and abandon. I'm old school and customer service is key. If that's important to you, you won't get it here. The prices on the scratch and dent portions are a bit of a savings, but personally, I'll pay more to get the customer service that I expect. The response we got from James and the owner when we called to say that our new dishwasher didn't clean the dishes was to call the manufacturer. A little surprised since we were told that if there was a problem within a few weeks just call and they'd make it right. I guess referring us to the manufacturer when they delivered a defective product is 'making it right'. If it is indeed new, they should have replaced it and dealt with the manufacturer. Read moreI visited this store as the last stop of 4 different appliance stores in the same day. Our washer died and the dryer isnt far behind. I stopped at numerous stores in Sun City area and everywhere I went had knowledgeable sales staff with many years of experience and pretty solid deals. The variety of “scratch and dent” they have available is good, and they have many options to choose from at discounted prices. We ended up buying a new set for a great price and scheduled delivery 2 days after purchase. James the store manager, was very knowledgeable and helpful, understood our situation and didn’t rip us off. I will be back and also recommend this place for any appliances, the big box stores are much more expensive and also less helpful. Extended warranty is available for purchase, and if you don’t feel good about the scratch and dent offerings than buy new, the pricing is still better than other stores out the door with delivery, install, haul off. I trust this place and my experience was good. Will update the review if there is anything note worthy from the install this Friday!
Install update Kenny came and installed , all items installed professionally and efficient. Was in and out, did a great job and was very friendly and knowledgeable of his job!!! Again, take your business to these guys for the best deals and confirmed service...
