I so wanted to enjoy the show performed by Drama Geek Studios this past weekend. However, they desperately need a musical theatre sound engineer. The music was way too loud for most of the vocals. Due to the poor acoustics of the theater, the sound was piercing on the ears and the majority of the lyrics were unintelligible. You could tell [most of] the performers were giving it their all, yet it was the first show I ever had to walk out on during intermission. Also, please don't blind your audience with lights and fasten the seats down in The Historic Crescent Theater. Ā Ā Ā Read moreDrama Geek Studios is one of the kindest, and greatest community theaters in Sussex county! I am honored to be part of their casts and I truly feel like I am in a family from the moment I step into the theater. The owners and production team are all very kindhearted and accepting people, and are so willing to help bring the community aspect to community theater. At DGS, everyone is welcome regardless of who you are, or the background you come from. In theater, your race, gender, age, disability, religion, or sexuality isnāt judged, you are accepted, loved, and lifted up always. This is the perfect place to perform in, whether you are a new performer, or a returning performer, everyone has a chance to shine and make their dreams come true here. I have had an amazing experience in my time at Drama Geek Studios, and will continue to come back and perform in shows any time I have the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI can not speak highly enough of these amazing people. Josh, Scott, and the entire Drama Geek family are the most caring, nurturing and supportive people out there. My daughter is 9, and has truly made the most amazing friendships during a 3 weekend run, and I wish we would be around to spend more time with each and every one of them. Josh KNOWS why the arts are important to our kids, and it shows. If we weren't moving 600 miles away, we would continue the travel to be with this group. But, we are DEFINITELY going to come up and support this wonderful group as much as possible. Thank you for creating dreams and making a safe haven for our kids to love what they do and be...
