TD:DR - Delicious authentic food, wonderful folks.
This place opened about a month ago; I wouldn't have known about it if I hadn't done a local Google search for Mexican food. They're planning a grand-opening event for February, but until then, I will enjoy going back for delicious food.
The inside is spacious, with tables set far apart from each other. The decor is colorful, bright Mexican theme, with quiet Mariachi music piped in through speakers in the ceiling. Overall, it was immaculately clean. Folks running the place were friendly, kind, and happy to help me order.
The menu is just the right size, with plenty of options. Everything is authentic Mexican, except for the couple purposely American dishes offered, which are clearly labeled as such. There are daily specials on the chalkboard inside, and they offer free coffee with your order (but I don't drink coffee). I ordered the Al Pastor (Pork) Burrito with Fries, and Churros.
When I ordered Al Pastor style, the server let me know that with that style of meat, they cook it with pineapple chunks. That was kind of new to me, but I wanted to try it. I ordered it with no sour cream, and it was put on the side just in case I wanted to add it later. The burrito was freshly made, piping hot, and full of flavor. The ground pork was well-spiced (but not too too spicy), and its flavor went well with the sweetness of the pineapple, which was not overpowering. The rest of the filling; rice, black beans, onion,, pepper, and corn, was tasty. They included two little pots of sauce - one red that with quite a kick, one green that was pleasantly milder - but I did not use them for the burrito. I used them for my fries, which were well-cooked, but otherwise plainly salted.
The menu let me know that the Churros came with chocolate on them, which I asked to be left off. They were freshly prepared, crispy, sweet, and the perfect end to the meal. You get four in an order; I didn't have room for all of them so I saved two for breakfast tomorrow!
Great place, easy to get to location, and wonderful folks. Will definitely be back...
Read moreOk, so we walk In no greetings, person to busy on the phone, fine we sit down and wait, lady finally comes out, not friendly, just wants to take our order, comes back with hot soda doesn't even come back to ask if everything's ok, so I can ask for a cup with ice. When she does come to the table, I ask her for another soda, which she never got me, my husband had to get up from the table and ask what happend to the soda? She said she forgot, so I said tell her to forget it, I wanted the check so we can leave and she caught an attitude, because she opened the bottle of soda. During our meal, my husband and I couldn't help notice the white family, that sat next to us and we were shocked at the treatment they received, they had the whole staff cater to them, they didn't even wait 5mins when someone from the kitchen came out and apologize for the wait, then when they got their drinks they all had cups with ice and they were constantly being asked if everything's ok?...so I don't understand why was there was such a difference with the service when came to the white people?? This is really sad, I have to let all my friends and family know that this place is racist and you will only get treated good...
Read moreI had to take down my “good review” of this place today because of the terrible service that I had. This was my 2nd time ordering from here. The food was good, BUT the attitude I received from the lady working today was unacceptable!!!! She was ARGUING with me because I asked for extra salsa which wasn’t even extra she only gave me 4 tiny salsas for a $45 food order!! And she kept arguing with me saying salsa is expensive and she has to charge me extra!? 4 SMALL salsas for 9 tacos!? I won’t be back, and that’s too bad because I really wanted to make this our new Mexican restaurant but with that rude service FORGET IT! I’ll take my business elsewhere (Monroe NY) or Taco Hombre (Warwick) even if I have to drive further. With her Bad attitude they will definitely lose business. We go out to eat Mexican food once a week so you lost at least 200.00 a month because you were extremely RUDE and selfish over SALSA… plus me telling all my friends about my experience didn’t help. Btw there was no soap in the restroom, does soap cost a...
