The technician (DJ) who came out to diagnose the evacuator pump issue with my dishwasher said I had a plumbing issue instead, despite explaining the pipes were recently routed out in case I did in fact have a plumbing issue. He offered to fix the most minor problem (a start button that sometimes malfunctions) instead of repairing the problem that makes my kitchen and basement flood about twice a month, for $75. Instead I found a dishwasher in good condition on Facebook marketplace for $50. Amazingly, the new dishwasher is able to pump the water out after each cycle, even though I haven't called a plumber!

Trent came to fix my relatively new clothes washer as even small, light loads threw the washer off balance; large loads could not be re-balanced and they continued to go off balance. The screws that held the motor in place had come loose and he tightened them. He asked me to run a load and to then call him to let him know if the problem was fixed.
