The Market at McGregor — Local services in Tamarack

Update. 5/22 Something happened here. They added a liquor store at the apparent expense of the grocery store. I get that prices have gone up no matter where one shops, but what has happened here takes it right out of my budget. I like to support local businesses, but the difference between shopping in Cloquet vs. Mcgregor is just too much.

By far the friendliest grocery store since Sesame Street. Always greeted with a smile, and a heartfelt thanks when I leave. They seem to hire a lot of local kids, all well behaved, full of hustle, and eager to please. They bag my groceries and take them to my car. Of course I do offer a couple bucks as a tip. Great...

I love this store. I come up from the cities and find that they have an amazing selection for a small store. Of course some things are a bit more expensive but what do you expect? Many things in the produce area are priced less than I find in bigger stores. The meat counter is full of great finds and the people working it are helpful and knowledgeable.
